hate that guy 😂 says a lot about an actor's alleged comedic chops when "loud angry reaction" (some of the lowest-tier comedy in existence, next to fart and poop jokes) is the only part of their comedic arsenal that doesn't feel insufferable, and actually feels like a reprieve from the rest of his "sense of humor".

I thought the movie was incredibly fun. [SPOILERS] Chris Evans saying "flame on" was such a good joke. It literally made me go, "riiight he played that role too, lmao." Wesley Snipes as Blade was fucking hype easily my favourite part in the entire movie. Channing Tatum as Gambit was fucking hysterical, but holy crap what a shitshow of a stand alone movie that would've been, it was also a great deep cut. I really made me go, right that was also a thing some years ago. I can't believe anyone ever thought that was a good idea. But man, Channing killed it. It was self referential self indulgent shlock and I can see why people wouldn’t like it, but as someone that hasn't watched a marvel movie in over a decade aside from DP1 and 2 I really liked it. Also, I really liked Cassandra Nova, scary and psychotic but so charming, I wish there'd been a bit more of her. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. Coming from someone who's generally a superhero movie hater.

The “higher up lady” from Loki aka Ravonna Renslayer is very much implied to be eaten by Alioth at the end of season 2’s finale, so it wouldn’t have made much sense if she was alive. Though the ending of this movie does imply that there is a way to bring people back even after being eaten by Alioth when B-15 (the new head of the TVA) brings Laura X-23 back to be with Logan and Wade on earth-10005. There is definitely a chance we could see her again in the future. Then again that might’ve just been another random Laura from some other timeline. Who knows.

I loved the film but I've hated Ryan Reynolds ever since he starred in the film Buried where they (spoilers ahead for Buried) tricked the audience at the very end with the main character dying after putting him through so much suffering whilst giving the audience a glimmer of hope. That movie still sticks out in my head, and Reynolds doesn't even play his stereotypical archetype here at all. Really enjoyed this Deadpool film though. I've found all non-Deadpool film's he's been in highly grating due to his schtick but this film was chemistry-galore.

I realized what my issue with this movie and, I guess, all the previous Deadpool movies - Morena Baccarin! She is nothing but a girlfriend for Deadpool in these, she has barely a screen time in this one... She always either kidnapped, killed or dumped (I guess in this one she dumped Wade)... But, her role aside, why is there so little X-23??? Laura has maximum of 5 minutes motivational dialogue, 20 minutes action... And she is done! We only see her in the end, even tho it's her universe that's at stake here...

Don't worry Man Carried By Woman, I'm sure they're figuring out how to put together Deadpool and Wolverine and Twisters as we speak. I felt like this one actually had less heart than the other two, since the "team's" and Wolverine's motivations and resolutions weren't as fleshed out and resolved as the previous two. But there were jokes and cameos. There were. Those things. Both of them. More than once.

saw this today. right when the film was about to start, I remembered I needed to pick up some frozen tater tots for my family on the way home, but the trailers had already ended and I hate pulling my phone out during the film, so I didn't open up my notes app to set a reminder to stop by the grocery store and felt worried I'd forget about it by the time the film ended. instead, I spent the next two hours just wishing for the film to end so I could go to the grocery store already. just constantly thinking about tater tots, even though I personally don't eat them. Matthew Macfadyen was maybe the only good thing about it, and I'm genuinely shocked I managed to stay awake the whole way through. even the handful of guys in my (thoroughly packed) IMAX who were clearly very invested in letting everyone else in the audience know how hilarious they found the same five jokes that they'd all watched on loop in the film's trailer a hundred times over to be all got tired of pretend-belly-laughing by the midway mark, and by the final act, pretty much nothing was drawing more than half-hearted chuckles from the crowd. I know the word gets tossed around a lot nowadays but this is easily one of the best examples of Marvel "slop" ever made.

I think the difference between good multiverse films and bad multiverse films is difference between the way they show don't tell, same with the TV series. The Spiderman multiverse films and the Deadpool / Wolverine, and the Loki multiverse films work because things are just there without the need for long expository narrative to explain what they are. Whereas all the Marvels stuff is literally just people standing around explaining stuff to you for ages, then fighting then back to explaining. Prime example was the Wanda Stone being sued as the roof of the hideout for the Mutants at the periphery of the Void. It can block Cassandra's ability to 'see' there, same with Antman's helmet etc. Whereas ironically in Quantumania every single caharacter jsut wants to vomit exposition at every nearest protagonist until they drown in putrid nonsense. Show don't tell! The first rule of moviemaking!

The movie had potential to be REALLY good. They handled bringing Wolverine back while tying in the multiverse stuff really well. The humor was on point mostly, the surprises were really good. But when you introduce some world-ending stuff or some tragic backstory, it doesn't work if you only talk about it. You need to show us something. "Show, don't tell" is really lost.

Ryan Reynolds got his career being unfunny in sexually charged snow skiing films (which are a really weird niche if you think about it) and I really hated those movies so part of me dislikes the part of those movies he brings with him into his newer movies **however** it is clear it has improved and his humor has matured somewhat and has actually succeeded in making me laugh on multiple occasions. Those aforementioned skiing films I was completely disinterested in at age 16 so if they were trying to market it towards teenagers going through puberty they failed. Thank GOD he doesn't star in those anymore to my knowledge.

Great video. I enjoyed it when I saw it, but the more I think about it the less I like it. There is some good humor, but a lot of the comedy doesn't work for me. I don't like either of the villains and that brings it down too. It's pretty fun, but it'll age like milk.

See, I don't have a thing against Ryan Reynolds. I loved Deadpool 1 and 2. This movie was trash. It felt like a generic current era Marvel movie. So confused by you saying this was your favorite Deadpool movie, this one was many orders worse than either of them.

Yeah, I’m really confused by the praise this movie has gotten. It’s no different from the other recent MCU films. It’s carried by the fan service since the plot doesn’t exist.

@@AlexMartinez-nj9io FR! One of my issues is that it took forever for the "plot" to even start happening, the beginning was so incredibly blah, it didn't even have the decency to be funny. The thing I loved about the first two was that even when it was being more emotional, it still managed to do it in a Deadpool kinda way. This one? Almost impressive how dull those moments were

@@kilian-one-l Not just that, the movie completely halts the plot around the second act for a pretty long time to shove constant jokes and cameos down your throat. Like, it’s so obvious that Marvel is trying so hard to cater specifically to the hardcore MCU fans. I mean, it worked, people like this movie and it made a ton of money, but how do they not realize the obvious pandering? I honestly don’t find any of the Deadpool movies to be emotional, but I can see a difference from the first two and this one. There’s absolutely zero emotional weight to this, especially for a story about self-doubt, grief, and eventually, self-sacrifice. I still have no idea what tone this specific scene was going for: when the villain, before the girl became the main villain, gave this speech about Wade and Logan’s sacrifice to save the universe. Was it trying to be funny, or emotional? Because it was neither. I’m just shocked at how people find this to be good. Yeah, it can be fun, I definitely had fun, but it’s still not a good movie.

@@AlexMartinez-nj9io Finally I find someone who I actually feel like watched the same movie I did. There are some small things that I did enjoy, but overall it was a mess. I liked Channing Tatum as Gambit. I did kind of like the reveal that Chris Evans was actually Johnny Storm, and I thought Cassandra Nova's powers looked pretty cool. The thing with the dog I just found kind of gross? The Deadpools felt like it was just chucked in there for fanservice - it was totally unnecessary to the movie. I also really wish Blade wasn't in this, that series should not have been disrespected by being touched by a movie of this low caliber.

This movie is not good. I am baffled by the positive reviews this has gotten, not even the Metacritic score of 56/100 Mixed or Average is accurate in my opinion. At first I gave it a 7 because I had fun, but now I struggle to give it a 5. It’s just nostalgia bait, it’s a movie made purely for hardcore Marvel fans. If you haven’t seen the past 50 movies, 20 shows, or gossiped about actors’ lives, then there is nothing in this movie for you, absolutely nothing. There’s no plot, characters barely develop, and any “development” they do get are just retreads of past movies. There’s no point to this movie, which is not good since this is part of a larger universe where everything is interconnected, but nothing here ever mattered. It’s also just inconsistent and full of plot holes. It’s the worst Deadpool movie and the most overrated movie of 2024. 4/10
