I recently seasoned a sad top loin strip steak overnight with red cap Adobo, white pepper, and old bay seasoning. Seared 3 minutes a side in a Whatever Pan. Had an interesting heat in terms of taste.

#LavaGang what up!!!! Okay couple questions. From the lady who eats like a twelve year old. Lol #1 - what is the metal rod you put in the steak before putting in the oven? #2 - what does someone do to get the streak well done, no pink? (I know, I know everyone says that is a crime. I cannot do pink, or blood juices) I love the knives as well. I am a huge Cutco fan but I love the looks of the forged knives!!!!! ❤❤

The metal thing is called a thermometer. It's a fancy modern one connected via Bluetooth to his phone, but that's all it is. A thermometer. Don't eat steak well done. The pink isn't actually blood. The blood is drained from animals when they're butchered. The juice that runs out is not blood...it's actually mostly water, because any food not dehydrated is mostly water, and protein from the muscle tissue. Let meat rest after cooking and the juices settle. I used to eat my steak well done and wasn't a big fan of steak...and then, a few years ago, I tried a medium well and now I eat them medium, or even a little rarer. They are soft, juicy, buttery, and tender. And overcooked steak is like eating rawhide. Don't do it.

Does what pan you use matter? I use a ceramic pan that was non stick, but coating is long gone. Brand is greenpan. Non stick coating long gone. Instructions are to keep using it as its ceramic under non stick coat
