Hello Jeanette and Fredrik. For the next time you are sailing near Belfast, a good option is to stay at the Bangor Marina, in Bangor. It's a medium size town, on the south side of the Belfast Lough. We stayed there twice and enjoyed the shelter in the marina, as well as the very good and convenient shopping. It's a great place for bulk provisioning as well as all kinds of specialty shopping. If you have bikes, it's an easy ride to the big, modern shopping stores located to the south of the old town. There is a local train service into Belfast if needed. There is also a very good anchorage outside of the marina, though it's not the best in winds with a significant northerly component. Bangor is a really good place for a stopover. It's much easier than going all the way in to Belfast. 🙂 Regards, Rick. By the way - the locals pronounce the name - 'Bang-rrr', not 'Bang-Or'.

Enjoyed this video. Ireland has many small islands around it. I have never seen Ireland up close, but it looks very nice. Knew some Irish folks back in the Panama Canal Zone.
