Yesterday we flew to our 99th country of Vanuatu, and today we flew 40 minutes to the island of Tanna which is home to one of the world's most active volcanos! The locals build incredible tree houses in giant Banyon trees, and we got to live in one in the middle of the jungle with a perfect view of the volcano!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Vanuatu is excellent me and my mum stayed nearly 3wks there, and it is everything you've seen, and so much more I think they are doing the massive Bunyan tree (at least I think that's what they said in the Email). The biggest thing I took away was how friendly the people were. They'd be always tooting to let people in they always said hello.

It's located just north of New Caledonia and New Zealand. It's very volcanic, having 10 active volcanic islands. The volcano they are visiting is not the biggest and certainly not the most dangerous. Further north in the island chain is the island and Volcano of Ambryn which had an eruption in 50AD of similar size to that of Krakatau. It is still very active. The only Island with a modern city is Efate, where the capital, Port Vila, is located. The country's economy is closely tied to the off-shore banking industry. It's also a popular way-point for cruising sailors sailing the South Pacific.
