You are correct… read in the “Gringo Gazette” that they just opened the road near Vizcaino near the border with northern Baja! We just witnessed a turtle 🐢 release (about 300 babies) at 7am in the corridor! 🤗 Enough chat…. YOU HAVE A VAN TO BUILD!!! 🛠👍

I also bought a 170 " 4x4 also and have put an extra row of 2 seats. 4x4 was definitely needed when we took it skiing in Colorado. I used a used Ford Transit van 2 seat bench. They are removable so if there are just 2 of us we can have some extra space. I also opted to change out the standard radio and GPS to get better audio with CarPlay.

Which brand did you go with for the radio? Also do you have a link to the seat? I think ours may be more permanent.

Hola Kevin… just finished the night dive, we are having a later supper at the marina and totally savoring the moment! The dive was SPECTACULAR… colors are so much more vibrant. .. sea life much more active 🐠. The dive is the same as a day dive just using a brilliant led flash light… actually easier since the ocean is calmer… Baja is looking great… I see no effects from the hurricane… actually a bit greener due to all the rain! 🌵

Congratulations! We are in our second year of camping with our DIY 2018 Ford Transit camper van. Naturally, we have added tweaks since we "finished". I recently added under glow lights and similar lights along the FVCO roof rack (that is more for fun than the underneath ones). I almost ran an extra pair for two of 12v wires to the roof "just in case", but I did not not. I am doing a workaround, but I wish I had run two extra pair of 12v wires on top, as well as below. It would have cost very little and they would be available "just in case".

I bought the same exact van in May - added Flarespace flares and just painted them with Black Truck Bed Liner from home depot ($15/can instead of $800 at a garage, and it matches the black trim around the van). Added the FVC standard roof rack and the black and tan color theme looks awesome throughout the exterior of the van! Psyched to see what you both do with it :)

Is this the 170 or 170 extended? I am aving a hard time deciding on which to get. We will be installing a rear bench seat so we can have a carseat for our lil guy who is 8 months. I take mine on island beach state park out on the sand and after forgetting to put it in four wheel twice I realized it doesn’t seem to make a difference and don’t bother with it any more and that’s some soft sand.. The all wheel works just as well for some reason.look into ford transit seats for the future.I used them and you can just snap them in or out as needed. You can also get a single and a double and switch them out on the same bracket and they come with the brackets for kids car seats.
