in Germany an ArnageT like this with full history costs about 55k €; camshaft and tappets checkt and ok..... the last real Bentley,that doesn't smell to much like Volkswagen....

£35,000? That's a bloody steal guys! I'd want £39,995 for that and make a decent profit from it! You certainly will have earned you money on it at thirty five grand if you actually count the hours you spent trying to diagnose the cause of the problem. Really glad you got it finished. The tyre you showed had a 2006 DOT code! It's 16yrs old, no wonder its cracking!!! The cracking also indicates it's been sat in the same position for quite a while, whilst the tyres have been under-inflated

What a fabulous journey you chaps have had! I have a Bentley Arnage T with custom Bentley options and 28K on the clock,. Reg 2002 and paid a tad more because of the condition at £34k. I hate to tell you this but I would have paid £37k for your Bentley!! Your videos had me spell bound... well done. I will always have a Bentley in my life as they are just so special.

I’m so pleased for you both, I’m in a similar situation with an A4 that I purchased, reqd front subframe and now an engine, I feel your frustration but the end goal is what we aim for even if it takes all winter!! So slick (the car not you) and Chris comments re fuel consumption are class, well done, this type of vid is just as good as a hands dirty one, very specialist work and you talk it through perfectly👍👍👍👍👍🚗🚗🚗🚗

I am an ex racing mechanic now retired in Australia and was shouting at the screen to strip/change the ECU. One of the best tools we have at our disposal is our sense of smell. It is too easy to overthink a situation but you blokes are a gem to watch and I am wrapped that you got the old girl sorted. Well done...

I'm first to admit that the Bentley doesn't appeal to me at all, what got me was I wanted to see if the salvage rebuilds uk tenacity would win thorugh with it and hats off to everyone involved in getting it right. It was a joy to watch the jigsaw pieces all come back together to make an excellent car for the right person......ps £35k is too cheap.

My dad used to have a 50s Bentley, they are a pain in the arse, and very expensive to fix, in my 20odd year driving career I think I drove it 3 times!!!

Great job guys always nice to see a car like that back on the road. I do think 35k is a good sale price for the car, however people need to understand how much engineering goes in to building a Bentley and the actual cost associated with it, if you analyse it 35k is a bargain 😁

I remember Dave Patrick working from his home in Iwade I took a Sierra over ro him with a electrical problem, he had it solved it in minutes he was a top notch bloke glad his legacy is living on today 👍

I've got one of these, it's a wonderful thing. I hope you've sold it for that crazy low price, if you can afford to keep it serviced there's nothing like it you can buy for less than £100k, running costs v depreciation you're ahead at that price. when you power up a car with a flat battery, the indicators flash, so it makes sense that all the indicator bulbs were blown if 24 volts were stuck up its ar*e . like always in the garage trade, if owners told the truth, it would be so much quicker + cheaper to fix, but that's never happened in my 42yrs stint yet. people say 35k is cheap, not at this end of the country it ain't, you could buy a one bed flat for that a few yrs back... thank god for a happy ending!

Playing "Sherlock", I think I know how this damage was caused. Because there are two batteries, someone has 'assumed' that they are series connected which would give a 24V system, and has then proceeded to jump start off either a lorry or a lorry 24V starter power bank. There is a saying about "assumption".

Wish I could afford the Bentley what a fantastic motor and because you have had it all done it will run perfect for years. I don’t know what the mpg is but for the comfort and just having it on my driveway would be worth every penny.
