Photo is the USS Pillsbury (DD-227), a Clemson-class destroyer, taken in 1930. Launched in August 1920 and commissioned December 15, 1920. She was sunk 200 miles east of Christmas Island on March 2, 1942 with the loss of all hands. Her fate was unknown until after the war when Japanese records showed she was sunk by the cruisers Takao and Atago. She was one of only two major America surface ships in WW2 lost with no survivors. She was awarded two battle stars.
