The more relaxed vibe is refreshing and seeing a bit of interaction to show personalities a bit more. Very watchable and interesting more than talking directly to camera

Daiso would be a great next stop -- most items around $1.50 US
@sherylcampman11406 ай бұрын
Yes! Daiso even has a better quality of the compression towels. Also in wash cloth size which are much smaller when dry. They have come in handy even in nice hotels in Europe where wash cloths are hard to come by.

If you're doing something with kids, compressed Towels are great. Bring some dry soap sheets and a water bottle. And you basically got a portable sink. They are great for wiping down kids. And work better the wet ones or baby wipes.

Next trip should be to TJ Max & Marshall’s - both stores have a whole travel section with luggage, backpacks, etc. you can find almost everything there for half the price. I check these 2 stores first before I buy anything on Amazon. Both stores clearance their items with a red tag if they have the product too long. The same travel item can be $12.99 and then if you keep searching you might find the same item at $4.99.

The great thing about dollar stores is that if you bring something and it doesn’t work out, you can leave it behind and you’re not out a lot of money. I find dollar stores are best for cleaning supplies. Name brand items at a big discount. Oh, and Lauren, you missed the silicone zipper bags - great for just about anything!

Right before I travel, I like to buy fresh fruits, especially grapes, and then head over to Dollar Tree for their wide variety of snacks.

I was looking everywhere for a pill case, and found in the craft section at the dollar store this little seven container set that all screwed together. So if I'm going away for a weekend I can reduce it to 2 or 3 pods. Really small footprint and best solution I found to hold a bunch of daily pills not to mention cheapest. Also found some packing cubes that work ok, not great, but ok enough if you don't overstuff and use it for minimal organization.

I take some of those compressed towels (smaller) in my pouch camping, etc. For those times you find a restroom without toilet paper. Get them wet to expand, tear in a couple of pieces and use as toilet paper. (don't flush. I put them in the trash)
@sarahschreffler54076 ай бұрын
(And I am always carrying water on me anyway so can use that if I hae to to expand)

I use a smaller version of the compressed towels for makeup removal when traveling, about 1/3 the size. One time use, but they are new and clean, not iffy like some hotel towels. Also don't need to travel with a damp cloth face towel in my luggage. It is one of my few travel item "splurges" but it is worth it for my face. :)

I've always wondered the point of the compressed. There's rarely ever a moment where I need a soaking wet towel... most of the times I use towels for drying

I like the Dollar Store...but it's not the place that I would go to for travel items. Stuff there seem mostly a one-time use for me but they're good enough for quick/emergency fixes.

I bought a first aid kit very similar to that at a cvs years ago and reuse the container. I also added a label that says first aid on it because it’s so nondescript.

Dollar Tree has more relevant for travel and cheap -- micro fiber towels, readers glasses for the 40+ set, cheap sun glasses & the neck strap to keep them, duct tape, foot powder, toothbrushes, hair ties, glasses repair kit ...

Nice to see this channel branching out like this - not everyone can afford top-of-the-line gear. That said, I’d take a pass on most no-name packs. Better to hit the Goodwill and get something used but of a quality brand. Or check online marketplaces.
