I remember coming back from up north and screaming at them to get out of the way when we were marching to chow, We thought they were just regular male recruits. We completely forgot that the first female platoon arrived there when we left, the fear in their eyes were unreal and we felt terrible afterwards.

The United States Marine Corps is not ment to be a PC culture. Men and women are different, but should be held to the Marine Corps standards as is. At Paris Island we were not even allowed to glance at the female recruits. I know some aspects are easier for the women, but at the same time it is the same with the men. Semper Fi Marines

Why did y'all integrate training? If you guys have different IST and PFT standards for male and female, they should not be training together. Maybe I do not understand it, but are they together, but trained as a "female group" and a "male group"? Or do you have a couple male and a couple females training right next to each other?..

I was hotel, they are separated unless doing physical activities and shit. It’s a male and female integrated company (Lima) but male and female platoons. They have the same standards they’ve always had for women in the marine corps, exactly the same as Parris Island. Drill and other shit is not integrated.

I was in that company and yes the female's were their own group, they did all the qualification with us (in first series), but held at their respective standards. The boys still had to pass at our standards as well.

I know , when I was at Paris Island we never ever integrated with 4th battilon . I think that the Corps is making a huge mistake,I also have seen on video , females wearing dress blues like male Marines cover's and all . I loved along time ago when the Marine Corp held on to tradition and standard and I see it going down hill. We need a new Commandant with the heart of Chesty Puller.

I’m Aussie and awaiting a green card in USA, I’m thinking either marines or army, I’m going to be disappointed if my experience is like this on video. I want to be trained fit for war, not a guinea pig for some social experiment! Hopefully this is just for the tv

I've talked with FM's and recruits, nearly all of them are in it for college/benefits or see it as any other means of employment. These are not people we want in the corps, not to even mention the dynamic this introduces to men.
