@@StephenGlencross-yg4nt They have covered this previously. This involves carving out a mountain and not digging soil. It involves heavy machinery difficult to bring up the mountain and costs more than the property is worth. Instead they will ‘tank’ the walls internally and have an internal drain. Makes good sense under the circumstances.

I agree. "hard is OK" is one of the most important lessons we can teach our children by them observing us. They observe so much of the contrary these days! And every time Brady walks around that room, I imagine the same. I see them up there having their coffee like they did on the reservoir, but in their style they created for it.

I just had to pause the video to make a comment. I am utterly amazed at this man running the crew you hired! [I wish I knew his name]. Talk about amazing ingenuity and skills, all from years of experience. The way he rigged it up to lift that concrete on to the "roof" to pour it is fantastic! I'm also so very impressed how you're all working together as a team! It's as though you all worked together for many years. What an incredible gold mine you found when finding these highly skilled men to hep you Brady and what amazing skills your learning. Praise God!! Brady, please tell them ?Bravissimo!!!" from me.

Well, fast forward to now, you all have done an incredible amount of hard work making adjustments needed. What a wonderful thing you as parents to think outside the norm and move to Italy to start a new life for your family. The girls should be very proud to know that they are experiencing life growing up as many of us back in the US will only dream of. Thank you all for sharing and doing whatever it takes to complete this vast project. I cannot wait to see the finished house with all the neat furniture you choose. I hope you find lots of more jewels on your property to use in future projects. Peace, love and safety to you all for a job well done!

Has anyone count how many wheelbarrows of cement it required for ONE wall?! WOW! Superb workmen! They know how to work in difficult situations and difficult surroundings, let alone a mountain side. that lift must be in fairly widespread use in Italy. Buon lavoro!
