The amount of natural light already coming through is insane. Once the surgical demolition is done it will be even more so. It would be nice if those ceramic white-faced tile bricks (probably the original waiting room walls) can still be used after they're cleaned up. Once the demo's all done, I'll bet you'll modify your plans. This is so cool. Just work safe and smart. Press on !

as i said a few videos ago you need to completely gut out the building to see what you have to work with seems like a very sturdy building .. i dont know if i mentioned before ive seen a similar renovation and the method they used to retain have the full windows even with the dropped floor they boxed in the upper section so from downstairs the window had small recess around 8 inches in depth by whatever width the window is into the floor above this was hidden by moving the wall out slightly creating storage under the eves of the roof and for the gable ends the created a stud wall stepped inwards to the room allowing these windows to also have the same boxed in frame hidden in what appeared as a normal flat wall upstairs

Wow, tearing though it now. I saw a line between Wells, Somerset and Yatton on the former GWR Strawberry line they have a similar building to yours at Axbridge on the A371 the main road is now 'on the railway' but the station building and large good shed still stand. This was the same design 3 rectangles in the way your station is arranged only made out of local stone not red bricks. The ends were somewhat shorter though with a higher gable end pitch to the roof, Sadly being so close to the road it was covered in salt and had a brown huh over everything insight as seen by Google street view, but it also still stands albeit not used as a home anyway. There are some Google images of it in service and as it stands with cleaner stones in the summer.
