The discussion about asexuality was so unexpected and lovely, thanks for that, and this whole episode was great, what a great guest. I'm an asexual person fascinated by stuff like this in the same way i'm an atheist fascinated by religion, so these episodes are really great listens, and so hilarious too

Im super glad yall talked about asexuality, and think it would be cool to see you talk to an asexual educator or something.
@SliverOfSilverStars2 жыл бұрын
yeah I agree!! I think there is so much that people can learn from the a-spec community, even if they are not asexual. Like one example is the split attraction model which is so interesting, yet mostly only ace people talk about it. But I think allosexual people could really learn something about themselves if they stop to think about all these different types of attraction, and even just stop to ask what "attraction" is or means to them.

As a September baby I have always been a little sad that it’s a pretty boring month with no major holidays or anything fun going on. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate their usage of gender-inclusive language, like saying “people with a penis” or “people with a vulva”. It may seem like a little thing to most cis people but it not only is more correct in describing who is being referred to, but also just shows me that Rhett and Link care enough to take the time to speak in an inclusive way.

Rhett, I cannot express how happy i got about you asking Dr. Emily to explain how this conversation applied to asexual people, I am demisexual and was seriously trying to extrapolate things that somehow could apply for me, and during the conversation I was really thinking about how much I'd love to talk with the doctor about her understanding about the ace community. So the fact that you brought this to the conversation is greatly appreciated

What's interesting about the blue-balls discussion at the start is that I had looked this up a while ago, and learned a fair bit. The Physical Discomfort is an actual 'condition' called Epididymal Hypertension, and it has to do with bloodflow to the area. As mentioned by Emily it's not dangerous in the slightest. I find it interesting because of the weird space it lives in that the symptoms are totally real, but the issue of people using it as an excuse to be a creep is also real.
