We tried McDonald’s in Thailand! McDonald’s around the world are so fun to visit, each one has their own special menu items so different from each other; ever tried a corn soup pie???

Thailand has some of the best street food in the world. The street food in Bangkok is especially diverse, so how diverse could the McDonald’s in Thailand be? Do they have any popular Thai foods to try!?
Needless to say, while in Thailand, we had to visit the McDonald’s here to see what kinds of special menu items they had, and if there was anything really unique and off the wall. We found some really interesting surprises, most notably the corn soup pie! Technically a corn pie, this legit tasted like corn soup, in a pastry. We tried a number of different things, worth noting is the very ‘unique’ pad ka prao. Most of Thai food, you don't need to stir them, just put them over the rice. Ones that needed to be stirred, they will be stirred well ready for you like stirred fried rice, Pad Thai or Pad Si Eew.

Since traveling in Thailand, u guys might notice that a lot of our food doesn't have beef in it and if there is, there is always a pork/chicken choice available to choose from. That is actually because a lot of thais believe in the goddess "Guan yin" or grew up in the family that believes in her so those that pray to her or are her believers do not eat beef. While some ppl are raise in the household that does not eat beef so they just adapt the life style i think lol Actually its very hard to me/some ppl who don't eat beef when we travel aboard because sometimes its hard to find pork/chicken/seafood alternatives in some restaurants.

I am Thai, Thai people's religion is Buddhism, we worship Buddha, not worship Guan Yin, what you know is misinformation.

There are some groups of Thais who do not eat beef but there are many groups of Thais who still eat beef.

Some people in Thailand also - use cow in farm and they don’t eat cow cause you know cow work for them ( pretty rare normaly we use buffalo in farm ) - have cow for beauty reason they raise cow like cat or dog this kind of cow can be very expensive if they very beautiful like 200,000-300,000 usd and the sperm of beauty cow can worth like 1000 usd some people who raise beauty cow not eat cow - some Thai people think cow is a huge animal so if you free their life or harm them you get huge amount of karma and if you free some life on purpose you won’t harm that species again so if people fear the karma or have free cow life before they might never eat cow again

If you wanna try it as Thais, a little bit pad kapao with a spoon of rice bite-by-bite. We mixed foods again when our dishes were nooddle, salad, and some dish with make by a lot of ingredient. Hope you still happy with Thais food.

Vegetable is only thing missing in Pad Ka Prao. The first time to see Thai Ice Tea not in orange color. Patong donuts is like tiny fried bread stick. I thought that orange sauce for the chicken nuggets would have been chilli sauce rather than plum sauce. I can see the corn soup pie may not be Steph favorite if savory instead of sweet??

Our branches may be one of the few branches that still have Ronald mascot in front of the restaurant, and it has our identity of Thai culture as 'Sa was dee' gesture.

McD in Thailand often serve Thai food like pad krapao and others. Invariably they would be a lot worse than the equivalent street food or in Thai restaurants so try them in McD only for novelty value, or better yet don't bother.

May not be much different for McDonald's compare to KFC. You need to try KFC in Thailand, very highly recommended. KFC in Thailand taste nothing like KFC in USA. After having KFC there, I couldn't have KFC in USA anymore.
