Hi Techwiser, I am Ravi Kaushik, founder at AIRTH. I would like to point out the gaps in your background research. I am an aerosol scientist from IITB and have expertise to talk on the subject. AIRTH has two versions: winter version and summer version Air Purifier = fan + filter AC = fan + filter + compressor When you use your AC in "fan mode" -> compressor doesn't work Hence your claim that it will ruin the AC compressor @2:47 is completely wrong! Also, with fan mode the electricity consumption is 40W (equivalent to a ceiling fan).

Regarding a thing: I personally tried the summer version and I could hear the difference in the sound of the AC at similar temperatures. I tested it with 2-3 split ACs in the office. Is the sound difference due to the load on the compressor or is it the fan running at a higher speed to suck in more air??

Mr Founder, the filtration performance of your product vs a sheet of 3M filter sheets over the AC pre filters is the same. Furthermore, equivalent products from other vendors are 1/3rd the price and perform just as well.

I have been using airth since last year in winters (2 HEPA Filters) and run my AC on Fan mode only. To be honest the Air Quality changes drastically when it is running. The winter version is even more expensive. The blower of a typical 2 ton AC is not 40W, it consumes much more power. Running a fan in peak winters will cause more discomfort than helping the cause. Most ACs are run in summer and modern units come with not HEPA but pretty decent filtration system, which is good enough for less indoor AQI, especially in summers. Hence not a viable option at all. This is only good for summers and for old ACs with bad filtration systems.

For folks confused between Coway AirMega Aim vs 150. The Coway AirMega AIM is not a worthwhile product. I've used both the Coway AirMega AIM and the Coway AirMega 150 (AP-1019C), and the difference is clear: the AIM is just a gimmick, while the AirMega 150 is a truly fantastic air purifier. Although the description claims equal coverage for both models, if you check the official Coway USA website, you’ll see that the AIM only has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 130 m³/hr, which is less than half of the AirMega 150’s CADR of 280 m³/hr. The filters on the 150 also appear to be sturdier and better designed. Additionally, the AIM has a very noisy fan that becomes unbearable at full speed, making it difficult to use. If you’re in the market for a reliable air purifier, go for the AirMega 150 and avoid the AIM. The combined reviews for both products might make it seem like the AIM is well-rated, but if the reviews were separated, the AIM would likely very low ratings which you can also see using filters for only that product on Amazon.

bro I bought qubo q200 20 days ago, I have started faving issues with it 1. app doesn't always work 2. if you dont have wifi then it is of no use to get qubo because it only works with wifi (customer care said sensor will change color when connected with wifi) 3. initially it bring aqi to 35 but now average aqi in a room of 144 sq ft is 120+ 4. not so satisfactory customer support conclusion go with renowned brand philips or cowell

4:40 Absolutely wrong logic. It doesn't matter if it's HEPA or true HEPA. What really matters is the CADR. That's why even if you use MERV 13 filters (just 75-80% efficiency), but with a higher CADR, it'll perform better than HEPA filters.

I have Xiaomi Mi Purifier 4 pro for more than a year, it has 600 cadr but I think those 600 cadr / highest fan speed is only usable in dire situations because it is louder than hair dryer. Xiaomi Mi Purifier 4 in up to 22m2 is manual mode ~200 cadr is quite quiet but it is generating low humming noise - if you life in quiet neighborhood you will hear it, even on the lowest fan speed. 300 cadr is usable but not fot the whole time. I think if you want to have lowest noise level you need to do something custom yourself with pc fans. I have only 1 night when 2 air purifiers were working on high speeds all the time because outside was super cold and I thing was over 999+ pm2 outside

Hey, You are right, there's not that much. It's just that the Xiaomi 4 covers a much larger area (better CADR) and has ionization. If you need something for a very large bedroom or hall, Xiaomi 4 is good. For a smaller room or normal size bedroom, Xiaomi 4 Lite should be more than enough. - Pratik

Bro i bought Qubo Q200 and i noticed it's making my throat dry.. Is that normal.. I tested aqi and pm2.5 values with a separately bought AQI monitoring device everything's came green and fine still.. while using the airpurifyer facing itching in throat.. any suggestions?

Xiaomi air purifier works the best, pause in the before and after comparison table you can see other than that AC top purifier, Xiaomi had the highest ambient pm2.5 while Coway was given the lowest pm 2.5 to begin with.

I started using coway 150 as per most recommendations..It is working poorly for the room size..Takes several hours to even bring from red to amber or green light.. Also one thing everyone is not telling that these Air Purifiers make the air dry, so you need to buy Humidifier as well, but cheap humidifiers won’t do the job.. Even with using both devices it is not feeling comfortable, so and so that not using it seems better option..

Coway 150 is best for small room but in delhi ncr from 2 days pollution is unparalleled coway 150 is not able to bring below 50 aqi.it is always red since past 2 days despite cleaning prefilter

You should buy an air purifier that can do do atleast 4 air exchanges per hour in the room they are. Sadly most of these air purifiers list 2-400 sqft but that is just for 1 air exchange which is of no use. To purify a 200sqft room well you need an air purifier that is being marketed as capable of handling 7-800sqft. Most units advertise 1 air exchange only few advertise the sqft based on 4 air exchanges. Not only does the filter need to be HEPA but the unit also needs to be HEPA rated other wise its not really doing the job. Sorry to say you just cannot get good air purifiers for 12-15k. For a 1200sqft apartment you need atleast 4 airpurifiers rated at 400sqft for 4 air exchanges. You cannot achieve proper air purification without spending a lot. CADR is a useless rating don't base your purchase on CADR. FYI any dyson is rubbish as just an air purifier.

Many brands are mentioning H12, H13 etc (but not TRUE hepa) and many are mentioning just TRUE hepa (not H12, H13) while some are mentioning just HEPA! what to do? How to then compare?

H12, H13 nd H14 all are true hepa so don't worry if grade is mentioned or only true hepa is mentioned
