You are a wonderful singer and it may be tiring to be compared to Karen, but we can't help it. Forgive us. I shared your cover with a friend of mine who is a professional violinist. He was very impressed with the composition, so hats off to Jim. I watched a video analysing your vocals with a computer. I have no idea how this is possible but your vocals are almost a perfect match to Karen's. It is hard to grasp.. It's beyond having perfect matching fingerprints on every finger and toe. The chances of you having that voice and to sing with it is beyond astronomical, . I hope you continue to sing dear lady. All the best to you and Jim, and all the musicians, Thomas

Jim Wilkas is a genius when you consider that the musicians here are from different parts of not only America but the world and it's all brought together by Jim in postproduction and he also does the phenomenal video editing. As for Tori's voice, simply beautiful and as close to Karen's voice you will ever hear!

This isn’t so much a cover version or a tribute as it is a re-creation. All of it is basically re-creating the original and that’s really hard to do, especially with the vocals. Amazing.

Great insight and commentary especially where you have just discovered the Carpenters. I am a child of the '70s and grew up with the Carpenters, and I just discovered Tori about 6 weeks ago. I can say that I was absolutely floored. Obviously she is not Karen, but she is the closest thing I have ever heard to Karen. If I came into a room and didn't know, without thinking about it I would believe I'm listening to Karen. There are a couple of videos with Tori singing a virtual duet with Karen and also with the Carpenters including Richard. Incredible presentation.

Oh how I wish Richard Carpenter would create some new music and produce it for you to record in Karen’s honor. We all loved her so much and miss her, but you are so young with so much talent--such a bright future ahead with the right backing. He knows exactly the perfect type of music that compliments your natural voice. Sooooo many people are loving your videos and music. It’s time to figure out how to get in a recording studio and make an album. Can’t wait to see the journey ahead of you!!! I am 59 years old and have always loved the Carpenters, Burt Bacharach and that era of music. I was a little girl growing up with a mother who loved music. With that said, I so appreciate REAL music with REAL music-not the computerized, auto-tuned music of this era. Keep going Tori! We are all so proud of you and cheering you on!!! Bravo!!!

Thank you for a beautiful reaction, isn’t she special. ❤ Jim ain’t no slouch he made that magic happen. ❤ Just 2 corrections, Holub is pronounced with soft vowels Hawluhhb and Williams and Nichols wrote the song. Paul Williams is essentially a living legend, he’s 82. Nichols is 83. Paul is also an actor, maybe most famous as the short guy with the big hat in Smokey & The Bandit. He has a huge catalog of classic songs many with Roger. Paul saw a Tori short video cover of another one of his Carpenters songs, Rainy Days and Mondays. He left a glowing comment on her Instagram video. A living legend left her that type of comment, goosebumps. I see you’re starting to get comments about Wings of Pegasus analyzing this song and Tori. I’ve never seen Fil smile this much. A pure natural voice. No modifying tech. I hope to be back with new songs as they drop from this team. Keep learning about Carpenters and Karen. Such a legacy of greatness. Sadness too, but it’s been long enough; just enjoy the greatness and remember the happier times. Be well and … #KeepTheMusicAlive Joe

I have heard Tori sing Burt Bacharach's Medley, The Song he wrote for Herb Albert, The Carpenters, a song at an acoustic 55th anniversary of the Carpenters that was written for Karen but she never lived long enough to hear and never sang and purchased a brand new song by her. Tori is the real deal and has given us all something both precious and timeless. Her voice is sheer magic to the point of refining the music industry. She got me to listen again and I thank her for that. Credit to all involved in this masterful production. One in a million! ❤

The song itself started out as a advert for a bank which I find quite amusing. Having said this, the video itself is a Master Class in how to put together a song and follows the way The Carpenters created the layers in their songs. Tori has a vid out there showing how The Carpenters created their unique harmonies. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJLUgJ-shrSesKM

One of ythe most beautifyl songs ever! The song was first written for a bank commercial. Richard heard it and called Paul to see if it was a whole song, which it was. Richard has a wonderful expertise for hearing a song or or the premise for a song, and hearing a melody if there isnt one already and just putting his unique sound and arranging to put his stamp on it. Many other times, his co-worker, John Bettis came up with lyrics. Such as Top of The World, which was first recorded by Lynn Anderson who had a hit with it and then the Carpenters came out with it.
