Actually he wasn’t killed, he reappeared alive and well in the season 13 episode “Sandy, Help Us!” And his name is Sergent Roderick. It’s never spoken in the episode but revealed in the end credits.

Hey guys If you didnt know, spongebob during its original run was a chronological story show. That's why certain episodes characters act like they dont know each other or act like they met first time. The episode when spongebob patrick and Squidward get on the dutchmen and the Halloween episode happen after this. This is the first time squidward ever met the dutchman.
