I just looked it up, this is an old story apparently this happened in February. No, different species can't get each other pregnant they are too far apart for that to happen. Apparently it was a rare circumstance where a female round stingray produces a fertilized egg without the need of a male. They didn't realize until this event that round stingrays had the ability to reproduce asexually. Pretty neat 😊

There's a species of shark, the thresher shark, that has an extra long tail fin. It uses this tail as a whip to stun its prey. If you breed a thresher shark with a stingray, and get a thresher shark with a stingray stinger on the tip of its tail, it would be unstoppable

Sharks and rays are closely related, so a shark could've impregnated theoretically the stingray, as occasionally happens between different species of big cats, different species of toothed whaled, and sheepXgoats, but the fetus will most likely die. The other possibility is parthenogenesis. There are 2 types of sharks that can reproduce without males (created a genetically identical female): epaulette shark and bonnethead shark. Since some sharks can do it and sharks and rays are closely related, the ray could be pregnant on her own. I'd be interested in a DNA panel.

(Synopsis for Episode 1: Krabs and Plankton’s origins) When you first started watching the show, it was likely implied/said to you that the show stays good up to specific point, and everybody has different opinions on how they rank each season. Personally, I think most stopped caring after Season 10. Whatever you guys choose to do is it entirely up to you. You can skip to the most loved episodes in recent years like “SpongeBob’s Birthday Blowout,” watch “Sponge Out of Water”, there’s really no wrong way to watch it.

It was a 30 minute bottle episode with one okay song that had one catchy line. I remember this as when the quality began a marked decline.

about the sting-ray: what actually must have probably happened was a case of parthenogenesis, which is when a female can get pregnant or lay fertile eggs all by herself, without breeding with a male although stingrays and sharks are close evolutively, they are not genetically close enough to give birth to hybrids

On the negative side: While the Squidward puppet episode isn't bad itself, it's the start of the trend of Spongebob being uncomfortably obsessed with Squidward when before he used to just respect him...more than he deserved. Then next season they start making his optimism and extraversion babyish to as if to match Patrick. On the Positive side, I do like the Ol' Reliable episode and the Best Day Ever. I'd count those as pre movie quality. The confess-a-bear part is still funnier than it has any right to be.

Ah, Best Day Ever, THE Spongebob ratings trap event. This thing was preceded by a TWENTY-FOUR HOUR Spongebob marathon, including the viewer-voted Top 100 Spongebob episodes, with #1 being Karate Island. All for a regular 11-minute episode about everything sucking for Spongebob. My disappointment back in the day was immeasurable.

I’m in Arlington and Dallas area. That’s where I go to college and have my life. But I live in Midlothian. Our thing is snakes. So we have to watch out for snakes. But because it’s more city in Arlington it’s not as bad. But Midlothian and Grand Prairie. We have tons of snakes and reptiles. They even get to Arlington. So Mini- spoiler alert: There is a guy you see as a background character later that looks like pearl and a lot of fans theorize that he's pearl's dad. All I'm going to say past that is... You'll probably come up with some of the same theories once you notice him. XD Also, the story boom mentioned about the ray turned out to be false. They did suspect it could happen but the babies are 100% sting ray, so it is more likely one of those pregnancies that happen to certain species when males of their kind are not present. In Lameman's terms, the female of certain animal species can collect and store sperm inside of them and their body will use it if they don't find a mate for an extended period. It's fairly uncommon but does happen, especially in some more aquatic species.

Stingrays are pregnant for 3 to 4 months. And it's not a stingray/shark hybrid. The most likely explanation is parthenogenesis ... the stingray impregnated herself. This is known to happen in other animals, but would be the first recorded case when it comes to stingrays ... That is not confirmed yet and I assume it will be confirmed, after she gives birth.

And thus season 4 has concluded. Honestly looking back, this is a good season, just not a great one. The good episodes are funny but we’ve definitely seen the signs of what’s to come in seasons 6-8 what with the flanderization of characters, the squidward torture episodes, and especially the gross out. All of those elements get bumped up to 11 by then and it makes some of these season 4 episodes hard to watch in hindsight

Another way the sting ray could be pregnant is through their ability to store the baby gravy until its the best time to reproduce. The only reason this is as crazy as the other 2 is she hasn't been with a male in a LONG time, so she was just storing this guys stuff for years and something changed that made her habitat the best place for kids. Can't wait to find out what happened if we can.
