I did that park run by accident just before the first COVID lockdown. Me and a mate were heading for the Severn crossing bridge parkrun but due to the flooding the bridge we were going to us was closed. Fortunately this run was close (ish) to the bridge and we made it there with seconds to go by sprinting to the start line. The moment we got to the group the race started and we had to run back up the same road we sprinted down. Needless to say didn’t get a PB nor crossed to Severn but still another Tourist PR done. Well done 👏 and welcome back Parkrun. Been too long.

Love it. I'm a recent inductee to the world of Parkrun. I've only done 3 so far (but 2 in the past 2 weeks!) and I'm eyeing off 25 minutes as my initial goal. Currently nearly 4 minutes shy of that, but at age 54 I have quite a bit of catchup to do. I find pacing myself to be near impossible at this stage, so I've downloaded a training plan (thanks, Running Channel!) and hope that'll help!

That is a brilliant improvement! Congratulations! One thing I changed that really helped me was what I do with my arms: I used to swing them across my chest like this but it wasted a lot of energy twisting my torso.
