Cyprus does not need any more lazy brits that do not even bother to learn the language or understand the culture, stay in you own country ,you have nothing to offer cypriot society

I am a Greek Cypriot and I made the UK my adopted country back in February 1966 at the age of 17. I am still here at the age of 76 with two grown up children and five grandchildren, all born in the UK. I love Cyprus, especially Paphos, and visit every year. I love your videos and take my hat off to you for moving to Cyprus. I sincerely hope you make it. As far as I'm concerned Tom , you're more than welcome to my country, and I hope more Brits especially young people do what you did. What I don't like is elderly Brits moving to Cyprus and expecting the locals to adjust to the British way of life.

That walk to the market brought back some memories of when we lived in Peyia. The market used to be up by the Municipal Building at the top of the hill, but looks like they've had to move to a larger area by the stadium - far more stalls now. We used to go to the quiz night at the Brewery Bar. Looks like there's been some road updates along there. We retired there in 2014 but came back to the UK in 2019 for various reasons, but we wish we had stayed, and we are actually considering coming back, but it will be more difficult now since Brexit. One nice place to eat that we loved is Geitonia right at the top of Peyia just past the Municipal Building and the church up a little side street - very steep - traditional Cypriot food. Good luck in your venture - will follow your progress.

We live near geitonia, haven't tried it yet. Will make a video their soon. We went to the market in peak season, they said it was the last 1 before they shut down for a month as it's too hot. They said it was very quiet compared to normal

Hi guys, sound was good and enjoyed the video. Just for info - the OPAP shop is not a betting shop. It is the Greek equivalent of doing the National Lottery in the UK. It's Greece based but also available in Cyprus and it's called the Joker. Prize goes up each time it is not won. A guy in Larnaca won 7.4 million euros a while back. x

Hi😁 its mike on my wife's email, we first went to Cyprus in early 2000. and from the get go we fell in love with the place. we stayed in coral bay at the Ascos Beach hotel it was great, and the blazing saddles bar where we watched the football with the manager from the Ascos who was a big LIVERPOOL FAN, I would love to come and retire there my wife is 65 and Iam 63 so near retirement age. the UK does nothing for us now just got my Dad now mum past away Xmas eve last year. we don't have any kids at all, but coral bay is wonderful its got every thing you need bars shops banks the lot, we miss it so much. my cousin has a villa in Pathos, we will look at more videos and keep in touch were from Chester just out side LIVERPOOL ok keep up the good work mate, you say uour going to look at some hotel's the Ascos is a lovely hotel and there's one at the side of it as well but can't recall what that one was called, you need to take the first main road as you get on the strip, you also need to go to the end and take your boys to the Coral bay beach its the best beach in the area, and its about 5 min walk when you get to the end of the strip ......LOVE TO ALL IN CYPRUS.............

Hi Mike, Thanks for the comment, We love our decision to move to Paphos. We live 5 minutes from Coral Bay Strip 😀 haven't been in Blazing Saddles, but have been in a few others like Kleos and Kikkos! Also haven't been to Coral Bay Beach, but have been to Corallia Beach, I think I've put a video out somewhere about the day at the beach. I know Chester, I have friends and business acquaintances over that way. Anyway. Thanks for watching and if you haven't subscribed please do its free and helps us grow the channel 😀

Hi Tom and and family the village what you showed dose look nice and in all the 31 years of coming to Cyprus we have never been to Paphos before and hope you settle in as soon as you can and I like Emily’s nails and the mic sounds ok to me but saying that I’m hopeless at technology things and the market looks ok

Hi Yvonne, Thanks. Yeah we have never been to Paphos, we chose here because it seems to be more all year round, which was important for us with having children. We will still holiday in Protaras each year 😀
