"I'm gonna be strong" is a must see/hear. One of her best vocals !

I've long since ceased to be amazed by anything that this wonderful woman does .. She's an elite singer and performer, with technical skills that would put most so-called great artists to shame .. She's been putting out epic performances like this since before she went solo .. If you haven't already, check out her version of "I'm Gonna Be Strong" when she was still with Blue Angel.

I love watching these reactions when people don’t know how amazing she is. I also was shocked when I found out she’s an incredible vocalist😭.

What she crafted over time was her distinctive style, which was born out of a foundationally great voice and cultivated technique.

Lyric Soprano, four octives (C3-C7), whistle register,, perfect pitch, and as you can see, really powerful. She is supremely adaptable. This album, At Last, was jazz and standards. There is also a best selling blues album, an EDM album, and a country album, all exellent. I just saw her show for her final major tour. At seventy one, she hasn't lost a thing. She is simply the best.

She always had those chops, even though you wouldn’t know it as much from her pop recordings. Very under appreciated as a vocalist.

I have loved Cyndi since 1984. She's one of the most talented and underrated voices of our time. It's too bad some only remember her for "Girls just want to have fun" She did so much more than that. She can sing anything.

Some pipes on Cyndi, even in the 80's if you get to see her concerts from that era. Like her amazing concert - Live in Paris 1987, her performances in this concert like songs such as Boy Blue, Money Changes Everything & Baby workout, which is a must to watch or react.... Just powerful high notes, & her energy & stage presence. Impressive singer!

Great vocalist & entertainer. She been releasing albums from the 80's until 2010's. These few months in 2024 from October until December I think, on her farewell tour in the USA in sold out big arenas. 2025 she will continue tour in different countries. A memorable performance that will be a good reaction video, from 1985 - Cyndi & Patti LaBelle singing together Time after Time, live performance from Patti LaBelle show. Two powerhouse singers bringing the house down. Amazing!

Cyndi Lauper is so celebrated as a fun pop culture icon but so underrated as a legitimate vocalist. Lauper wasn’t in Kinky Boots, she composed it and was the first solo woman ever to win a Tony fit composing

The hole concert is available on dvd, bought it looong time ago. I was so impressed by her voice ‘live’ and her band. The female guitarist and the woman on violin in the band was so also very impressing. Next Cindy song for you two should be: Above the clouds from 2005. Great song with the late Jeff Beck on guitar.

...and Live!! another great performance from this concert is her version of Walk On By. On the CD it is very moody and brought down to basics. for the concert she gave it some octane. She also did a covers album of Traditional Blues and classic country. From the Blues album there is a live DVD called To Memphis with Love I think the standout from the DVD is the duet with Tracy Nelson on "Down so Low". And on an episode of Jimmy Fallon she did a live cover of Don't Cry No More. Yes, she can sing outside the pop umbrella.

What’s interesting is Cyndi was the first ever to release I Drove All Nighy before Roy Orbison. He died before his release and the writers gave it to Cyndi

Great vocalist, even when she started as vocalist for band ' Blue Angel ' beginning of the 80's, before she became a popular solo artist in 1983. Must see her performing with this band ' I'm Gonna be Strong' live.
