After making this I discovered there's one little exception to the rules I laid out in the video. It doesn't matter all that much but I figure I'll explain it here: basically, the advanced weapons (hybrid, synergy, composite) are allowed to downsize into the type of mount they use for stat modifiers. Unlike what I said in the video, the cryoblaster can in fact be put in a large energy mount because it counts as an energy weapon for stats, but it still cannot go in a large ballistic mount.

Universal weapons do exist and are from a mod called Nijigen Extend. They can fit in every slot that is the same size as the weapon but can only downsize in universal mounts.
