Weathertech stain after a couple of winter seasons and the stains do not come off, it's as if the salt get embeded into the plastic. Once you clean them they look great (when wet), as soon as they dry the light color white stains reappear again and do not come off. I have used them for several years, not that great afer a few years. They always look dirty.

We love the Weathertech mats in our 2014 F150 and Escape. The Husky mats in our son's 2012 Focus don't look as nice, but they do a great job protecting the carpet. Pull them out, do a quick vacuum, and the carpet looks great. Especially for a seven year old car suffering through Michigan winters.

I’ve had Weather Techs for about 18 months. They seem to have a film on them that make them easy to clean when they are new. However, after a few months and pressure washing I think the film dries up or get scrubbed off and now they seem to hold stains more easily. But, I really don’t care because my son spilled a 32 ounce drink on the floor and every bit of it got funneled to the outside of the truck due to the way the mats are designed and ride over the lip of the door sill. I use my truck for work so I don’t care if they look shiny black anymore. They protect the carpet very well.

I maintain, if you have a vinyl lined floor, rather than carpeted, Husky is the ONLY liner that says it’s OK to use. For that reason alone, Husky liners for me.

Luke Edward Not true, my weather tech came with epoxy anchors for my 2017 superduty with vinyl and they do not move.

i have the weather techs . they are good but they scuff easly. the smooth surface does not hide the scuffs you have to use a plastic conditioner to hide the scuffs. then they become slippery. theweather tech on my passenger side fights to loose and moves around. im going to try the ares mat next.

I love my husky weatherbeaters floor mats I like weathertech but they slide on the carpet if they could fix that then they would be amazing in it seems like huskey covers more area

Also u need to make note ur using a different brand of husky ur not using the weatherbeaters which are like weathertech plastic I think ur using the rubber version aka softer of husky I think it's called contour or something like that

FYI - anyone with a RAM that has the cool buckets in the second row floor, a rear matching liner make getting in them a bit more difficult than the OEM carpet. Still, rather have the protection esp from liquids. Love my Husky’s and their price.

Husky all the way. Far more pliable than weathertech, making them easier to install and remove for cleaning. Also, the weathertechs are just too "slick" feeling, like armorall- coated plastic. Not what I want underfoot. Aries is new to me so no comment.

Still buying husky just for price and the space it covers vs the others plus it doesn’t slide around as it has the hooks and spikes on the bottom to hold it still!!

And for those who have winter with snow and dirty slush, weather tech will do a better job at keeping the melted snow and slush on the mat instead of spilling on the edges onto your truck carpets 👍

fred JONES with winter boots it’s ok, but with winter shoes, since the sole is not as agressive, you have to watch, coming and getting out of your vehicle. My big concern is that white salty accumulation that I don’t get anymore on my vehicle carpet with WT!

I get your testing methods but to me the Aries really shined on the mud test. When spreading the mud on the mat it did not move. I have weather techs and the passenger side slides around constantly. The mats should stay put and protect the carpet underneath. I have 3D Spider mats in my wife’s vehicle and those mats like the Aries don’t move.

Should have gotten your truck stuck in the sand and then tried to get unstuck by using the floor mats for traction to see which one was better. I thought that was the only reason anyone used floor mats for?

Nice comparison and not something I have ever seen anyone do. I haven't heard of Aries mats but looks nice. I used to live by Weathertec and have been to the factory several times to buy mats, trunk mats etc.. I also when I was younger lived in KS and have actually been hunting a few times with the owners of Winfield Consumer Products (Husky). I used Weathertech for probably the last 10 years however when purchasing my 2015 F150 I went with Husky. Living at the time up north you deal with rain, snow, ice, and as an outdoorsman mud. I had a couple of things I didn't like about Weathertech. First is they slide around a lot, your feet will also slide around a bit when wet, snow etc.. The Husky has more of a sticky feel to them and I found they stayed in place better and my feet didn't slip as much. Also, the Weathertechs don't have the channels so when you have snowy feet and it melts you have water all over, the Husky groves help collect the water and keep it from leaking out of the mat onto your carpet. I found the Husky seem to fit better providing more protection and less movement. The Husky is a little harder to clean but I am OK with that. The same goes for mud as it does snow so overall I found the Husky to be a better experience. I now live in TX so don't have the snow issue or wet floor mats freezing but I still like extra grip when wet. I do have in our SUV the Weathertech mat for our Infiniti QX70 and it is great! In fact, it fits better than the OEM mat that I had ordered and returned once I saw how poorly it fit.

I heard it holds sand as a bad thing? You dont bring that much in on your feet and I would rather have it hold it then let it get pushed around and eventually into my carpet. Just a thought.

I have WeatherTech and have used Husky but not tried Ares Floor mats. The thing I love about my WeatherTech is not just how well the protect, but the ease of cleaning them. I grew to hate cleaning my Husky mats. I also believe the WeatherTech don't scuff as easily. My attitude is that my WeatherTech work so well, I see no reason to try any other brand.

Funny how the video starts off with a Weathertech ad, I really liked the looks of the Aries and I think it's performing well so far, but after looking I found out that Aries doesn't make them for my year truck (2003 Ford F-350) so much for me liking them.

Don’t be so quick to jump to weather tech . They look great at time of purchase but they are impossible to clean even if you buy there cleaning kit . They are not worth the money . Yes they protect well but they look like crap in your in your vehicle after a winter of salt stains. You can’t restore the finish . After sale service is horrible all they will tell you is your doing it wrong. I would think twice ... followed the video on how to clean them and they still look dull and dirty after less than a year of use

I am a weathertechie, I’ve had them in the truck since I purchased the 2018 ram 2500. Almost a year now and I’m very happy. We have them in my wife’s 2019 Honda CR-V as well.
