I used weathertech 2.5 years on my 2017 Ford Explorer. 6 months ago I switched to Husky x-act contour, all 3 rows. They're amazing. Perfect fit, no gaps. As I know currently weathertech has rubber-like floor liners. But 2.5 years ago they didn't have this material for my vehicle. But anyway Husky X- act contour liners have more coverage.

I have both. Like both . Prefer the Husky because they are softer, less slippery and clean up better. But both are good.

Having never owned either until middle of last year, I’m just glad you made your video on Husky liners because I went with your choice and I’m very happy with my liners for my ‘17 Tundra Crew Max.

Do the tundra husky ones have all the little spikes on the bottom? I have wt in my tundra and husky in my ford... Husky have spikes and the wt slip all around on passenger side and don't hold water as well as husky

Thanks for the vid Señor Dude. I am using the OEM all weather liners. They seem pretty good but maybe in the future I'll look to getting the Huskies. I do like them. Don't think I need them right now. These OEM rubber liners are fairly functional and working. Party on.

My weathertech front mats turned sticky just around 4 year mark. Note that I never used anything other on them than plain water. After a video and some emails they did replace them. I did have to get some glue/white substance out of my carpet.

Which Husky liners, the "Floor Liner" or the "Weatherbeater'? There's a difference in material used. Thanks

@garypowell79296 жыл бұрын
Are yours for the crewmax, and for the back seat are they the full coverage liners or the ones that do not go under the seat? Which is better, x-act contour or the weatherbeater?
@TundraDude346 жыл бұрын
Mine are the ones that do not go under the seat because of the esp storage box. X act and weatherbeater are both awesome depending on your needs
@frozentundra72896 жыл бұрын
Nothing like that very heavy soft rubber on the X-act contour liners, feel great, stay put, and very easy to clean. Also on my crewmax they go up and under rear seat. They are just great. My wife is so envious of mine, she has that other brand you mentioned. What am I to do, she purchased without consulting with her " Researcher in Chief " weighing in, 😂,and she loves to joke about how much I study before making a purchase. 👍👍

I'm seeing the same X act contour part# on Husky's website for the rear of both crewmax and double cab. Is this correct? How is that possible?
@TundraDude346 жыл бұрын
Those are the backseat liners that dont go under the rear seats. Probably the same set up as the dcab that also doesnt because of the storage bin. Dont forget, i have a promo code there until end of may
@TitanOwner-hm7xu6 жыл бұрын
How can they be the same? One has to be bigger than other for cab difference? I don't want liner under seat only floor area because I have dbl cab with storage bins.

You can shoot them an email or put in your truck info and trust the process 😁

Hey Tundra Dude...I returned some WeatherTech's I bought last week because of terrible fit (particularly in the back) and just got some Husky liners today. In the front I love the rubber feel of the X-Act Contour's and agree that they fit better and feel better. In the back seat I got the full cover/goes up under the seat version of the X-Act Contour and it is much thinner, less rubbery, and has similar fit issues. I know you don't have the full coverage in the back of your because you have the under seat storage, but can you talk to any differences you have from from to back? Thanks! Rob
@craigcardwell71186 жыл бұрын
Mark, I've had both and I like the Husky Liner much better. The Weather Tech's in my previous truck wore through, but I don't see that with the Husky Liner. There is also no comparison between the two in the way they fit, the Husky fits much better!

I got the husky liners after watching your first video for my 16 Tundra. I love them. Keep up the good work man.
@Drohead206 жыл бұрын
Man I much prefer husky rubbery feel, i can’t do them because they don’t go all the way under the rear seats like WT does. I need that full coverage because I put the seats up for the dogs when we take them to he beach etc. the husky only went like half way under the rear seat.
@fawkurface466 жыл бұрын
I dont have either but I'm looking at both of these for my 09 silverado. I like weathertech for the high sidewalls but like you said they dont fit quite as well as husky, I like that husky is more rubber so more grip when my boots are wet. do you think if I took a heat gun to the weathertech I could get it to fit better?
@donnymac5754 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about getting weathertech but found a set of similar husky liners for $60 less. Made the decision easy.
@jonstundralife58976 жыл бұрын
I'll tip my hat to Weathertech on their full window shades for my Tundra cause they are awesome, but I have had exactly ZERO problems with my Husky mats over a year and a half. They clean up easy and still look great! Probably my best buy for the Tundra to date. No hard plastic for me folks! Husky all the way!

I have weathertechs and I regret buying them. They don’t fit well and have gaps in multiple areas. Mine have gaps all around the trans hump and kick panel areas. I tried heating and flare them out wider to close the gaps but still no luck so next time I’m buying something else.

I agree with all that you said. I’ve never understood why Weather Tech seems to be more popular (I’ve seen them in many used cars) other than they seem to spend a lot more on advertising!!!
@Drohead206 жыл бұрын
ThrobbNation I like the husky better BUT, they don’t go ALL the way under the rear seats, just partially. Weathertech goes all the way under. This is a must have for me because I have two dogs so I put the seats up and let them sit directly on the rubber that covers all of the flooring rather than just part of the floor. No bueno with dogs.
@TundraDude346 жыл бұрын
There are 2 options. 1 that goes all the way under the rear seats and one that cuts off in case you have underseat storage

@TundraDude346 жыл бұрын
They arent bad but they don’t provide full coverage
@iraperry52186 жыл бұрын
I bought my 2018 with the Toyota all weather mats. I like them better than the weather techs in my 2014. They provide better coverage than the WT IMO, as they go all the way up the dead pedal unlike the WTs. Soft rubber to so no slipping.

I'm pretty happy with my Husky Weatherbeater right now. Liked the rubbery feel than my weathertech plastic feeling. Easy to clean and doesn't move. Mine doesn't go all the way under so.
@Methodical26 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comparison. One of the things that I found from reviewers that concerned me about WeatherTech is they slide around and don't have those spikes to keep them in place. I also noticed the gap that you mentioned in another owners you tube video. Too bad they don't have a custom liner for the Sequoia, it looks like a nice product.

WeatherTech mats are slippery plastic trays not mats. Rubber mats are much better.

Agree with many of the thoughts on Weathertech, had them for @ 10 years. In addition, Husky will give Military Vets 10% off. So they had 10 % off of their price online, the person from Husky I called said, they would give another 10% in Addition to the 10 % on there already. Too Easy.
@markknox56336 жыл бұрын
WeatherTech also charges at least $18.00 to ship their floor liners to you and if they happen to not fit correctly due to a manufacturing defect they will take them back but you also have to pay for return shipping. Husky has free shipping to you and if for some reason they don't fit correctly Husky will also pay for return shipping. I had this happen to me with WeatherTech when I bought front floor liners for my Tundra and they didn't fit due to a manufacturing defect. I then bought Husky floor liners and they fit perfectly.

Should have watched this video... My weather tech mats on the passenger side moves all over the place, that grabber thing absolutely does not work. I absolutely hate my weather tech liners in my 2016 Crewmax. I live in Florida and sand gets everywhere under my weather tech mats as well. But I have to live with them because of how much they cost.
@msucds16 жыл бұрын
Husky makes two types of liners; one it hard rubber and the other of course is a softer rubber. I like the texture of the softer option. Also, Husky floor liners have the rubber that covers the door threshold. Try cleaning your Husky floor liners with Mothers VLR, I do it brings back their original appearance.

Weathertec sucks they really do have gaps and the longer u have them they do fade and do slip when stepping in with wet soles and once u get in and your foot slips and u hit the top of your foot against the pedals u will hate them .

Same issues I've had with my Weather Techs. My passenger front will move all over the place! I'd toss them and go with Husky, but I can't afford to toss them just yet. $200+ could be spent for a new front sway bar etc.
