I've never had an issue with Vocalign 6 Pro outside of user error, or just a terrible tracking. I use the ARA versions though, not the VST. In Studio One with good edited tracks this thing always nails it just right for me. After seeing Waves though, I may have to switch, and I hate Waves, but this looks legit great.

Portablism is simply a cheap way to learn how to scratch or making the setup much smaller, instead of having a turntable (or 2) and a mixer, you have a small (normally) 7'' player with a built-in fader for cutting. Check PT-01, HeadacheSound Omni, Reloop Spin, Stanton Stx (digital versions: SC500/1000 & the new WOW & FLUTTER MACHINE).

just put your reverb on a send with a compressor after it sidechained to the vocals pre-fx

Or just put a compressor before the reverb. No need to sidechain it. The sidechain just listens to the vocal, which the compressor would do anyway before the reverb. The tail is the just decay time which is already a part of every reverb. That is if your reverb is only for the vocal which is what I normally do.

Bro im not gonna lie, but the idea of the roland cloud , i think they stole that idea from me ,because i remember years ago around 2016 i made a short video of a controller keyboard that you connect to a cloud library which includes sounds from every keyboard company , roland, yamaha, korg . It was like an slide show wqith captions on it. Very amateur shit. The idea was having this unique keyboard controller with sounds from the best companies in one spot. The spot was the keyboard itself . This idea came because Positive Grid have like a tone share thing, where ppl create guitar tones with amps from different companies and share em online. PLus i have a yamaha and roland keyboards that i mix sounds between them via MIDI. So the idea was you pay for the sounds and download them to this special controller keyboard to use em on stage or whatever, mix and match kinda. I deleted the video like a month later because had only like 5 views , no comments no nothing, so i thought was an stupid idea for this thing about legal rights and all that . Bro, 2017 roland announce their cloud service same idea but only Roland brand, I was like this mfkrs lol . Well what you do , right . Video was deleted and couldnt recover it so🤷🏻

I've done so much work on vocals over the years and to me that "demo" for Sync Vx sounds like the "before" example is artificially detuned to sound worse than it actually is. When you layer the same person's vocal takes, regardless of all the other plugins and effects used already, it isn't going to sound like that unless you've literally detuned the full track up/down intentionally. There's no variance in how "off" pitch some of the layers are even though singers are going to naturally try to correct their sharp/flat notes, not sing the entire thing flat or sharp. Sure, it's just a demo mannn, maybe they did this to make it obvious and show how powerful the plugin is. But realistically it just makes the "uneffected" example sound worse than it is while making it easy on the plugin. All it has to do is adjust the pitch of an entire track up or down, no detailed pitch correction necessary.

Ara only is alot better then making it a buggy plugin. As someone who ownes vocalign pro and revoice pro waves align is way better the vocalign but just slightly under revoice pro. For the price tho it's amazing. Revoice can get things tighter tho

@@YungstarProd I spent years on fl. From 2004 to 2015. Was it made to hook to hardware and record cc midi data of a sample in real time ? Back then I just used groks beat to draw things out. I don’t want to drawl things out. I want to scratch like a live dj set but be flexible like midi for edits or pass throughs to redo and recallable.

Waves does not have to fix it being ARA only , every daw has to support ARA at this point it's 2025. ARA is an open source technology, since like May 2021 the sdk is literally there on github for FREE. for god sake, why is ableton and others failing to integrate it , they are so behind. Cubase,Logic, Studio one,Pro Tools etc all have it. They are cheaper than ableton by the way. Ableton is super annoying 😭😭

ARA was developed together with PreSonus and Melodyne. Studio One in v7 is pretty darn good DAW and cost half of what others ask (yeah I know Cubase has it too), so I recommend to check it out, not just for ARA. And yeah, I have Ableton Suite v12 too.

ARA only makes sense, otherwise you need to play it in, like in Melodyne. I use Melodyne for vocal alignment, as I am not a fan of Vocalign. Ya - Ableton, Live needs ARA support! Come on!
