Great presentation thank you ! I have a quick question: When restoring the backup into another cloud provider all you did is specifying the access mode. What about permission on the original bucket/storage itself? Any specific policies or access level need to be granted?

Hello, I had a question. If I had multiple clusters running for different environments (dev, test, prod) Should I have Velero server installed in all of them? Or should I install velero server in one of them and velero client in the rest of them? Also, can you use multiple s3 buckets for backup in the same cluster? If yes, can you please explain how.

Here a tidbit of constructive criticism: the first 15 mins of the presentation should have been cut and this is true of all product centric tech presentations. Here is my rational, if a person is searching for Velero (or istio or ingress) then it’s fair to assume they know what the product does generally speaking, what they are looking for is how it does those things. The first 15 minutes of a majority of these presentations is talking about the evolution of the product or segment or “how we got here” which is an absolute waste of time. I don’t care about the history of enterprise backup product catalogues, no sir, I want to know how said product does it’s thing and maybe some ideas of the best practices involved.
