Yeah totally, likewise always check if they intend to keep the jacket on because if they take it off mid speech your screwed 🤣

Thanks for sharing Adam. Careful with those tx650 recorders, I use a bunch of them too and just had one fail and couldn’t get the media off. Luckily whatever happened , happened after I downloaded the last speeches. It’s going off to a Sony service centre, I’ll let you know the outcome if they identify the cause, I’m very keen to know. Great content as always.

Adam Wing - Wedding Filmmaker turned out to a PC issue, didn’t have to send it in. The one device locked on to a drive letter that was conflicting with my NAS. Back up on the backup on the backup :)

Great video! How do you start/stop the recordings?

For the audio recorders? There’s a button built in. And a locking system too so you can lock the recorder and no buttons can be pressed accidentally.

So you let them record all the way, you don't start/stop the recordings remotely?

Nope just let them roll. They have 16gb storage internally which results in hours and hours of recording. And the battery will last days too.

what is the audio recorder you clipped to the best man? I see the little stick you taped to the handheld mic, but what is the tiny one you clipped on his jacket? Right now I use tascam DR10L, but it looks like yours don't have wires which sounds nice to be less intrusive.

oh i see now it is a tx650, it looked different in the video with the best man though

Adam Wing - Wedding Filmmaker awesome I might pick one up. I noticed you told the groomsmen that you would start the recorder remotely. Was that the same tx650? Or was that a different one

Yes that’s the tx650 although I lied, it doesn’t have that feature. I just tell them that so they aren’t worrying about it before hand 😅

No with the Sony’s on jackets , I’ve had some issues rather I should’ve said, but it’s less faffing around then clipping on mics I suppose . Do you get any resistance from the registrars? I’ve had a few that say they don’t need mic ing up.

Can’t say I’ve ever had anything that was too jarring. I don’t mic up registrars generally just the groom
