Even though I was never a huge fan of Tyler, I must say Hunter Doohan proved he was very talented this episode. The switch between terrified and terrifying was a masterful scene. Good lord. It makes me wish they’d actually let this guy do more than just seem like a lost puppy the rest of the season. Hopefully they’ll actually let him strut his stuff next season. My biggest disappointment with the series is that they killed off Weems. Gwendoline Christi was such a delight to watch and I’m so sad that the most we’ll get from her now is flashbacks. Such a classy yet intimidating presence in show. Her back and forth with Jenna was incredible, legendary! Man what a waste. I’m going to miss her as Weems. I love that they made Christina Ricci the villain. Was it probably obvious, yes, but what a fun idea. While the design and CGI (like the Hyde) needs to be touched up a bit, I love that Enid keeps her colorful hair even in wolf form. Enid and Thing’s friendship really is the most adorable thing. I like that Bianca and Eugene got to help with the finale as well. Love when every character is utilized. Literally the whole season has been building to that hug and it’s the most cathartic moment in the show to me. When I say I cheered man. I really hope they expand on their relationship in season two (platonic or romantic, either way). Just give me more of these two besties please. I also want Wednesday to meet Enid’s parents because she will absolutely hate them, and I’m sure Esther (Enid’s mom) will return the sentiment. And vice versa give me Enid officially meeting the rest of the Addams Family and seeing actually parental affection looks like. Also, Enid now has some badass scars on her face. I hope they keep that going forward. Also just let Emma Myers do more things she is also very talented. They were allegedly going to have Enid doing so more fighting as a human too (there’s a vid of Emma practicing some impressive choreography somewhere because the actress actually is a super athletic person holy shit) but they ended up scrapping it. Please bring it back, let her be incredible. Man what a trip this show is. Really looking forward to the next chapter.

Absolutely agree with you! Tyler is gonna be a blast to watch next season. Guy can pull off a very mean villain and that switch on character was executed to perfection. That’s what we call acting range! Enid became one of our favorites! Her and Thing are a great duo. Can’t wait for them to keep on helping in season 2. Bianca and Eugene got really cool character development that left the door open to explore them further in season 2. I think Bianca could become an iconic character down the line. So, Hunter, is a family friend. The way he acts this entire series, and can throw himself into character is AMAZING. He truly is an amazing mid 20 year old, gay, man, whom is married to a producer. Do you know where they got the idea from for the series Wednesday? A good 5/8? years ago, a girl called Melissa Hunter wrote or co-wrote - (playing Wednesday) - along with her friends began making short videos, usually about 3-5 minutes long called "Adult Wednesday Addams". Slowly her videos caught on with YT viewers and began to take off . . . by the time she began her season 2 of them, the views had grown and grown higher and higher . . . And then, on one particular day so far in to these, she received a cease and desist letter from lawyers on behalf of the Addams Foundation telling her that she had to stop making them immediately . . . after which she tried many ways so as to be allowed to keep making them. But all she got back were refusals . . .Years later after having no luck, guess what popped up as news? Via the allowance of the Addams foundation, a new series called Wednesday was going to be made and aired - I wonder why??? - From what I know, the same Melissa Hunter was then asked to become a co-producer on She-Hulk . . . But if I was you both - I would check out how she also looked and acted as Wednesday in her 2 short seasons, too . . . they are good and really worth a watch (even as reactions if you do a good few episodes together - or a season of each maybe . . . ??? Enjoy . . .

I think the stalker is Tyler's mom, escaped from the psych ward where she was sent and his dad just lied to him about her. I also think that next season, maybe Tyler's living in the woods, having Green Goblin/Norman Osborn types of freakouts, and Xavier finds him and can relate to being angry all the time, and instead of telling people he keeps it a secret......*waves hands* DRAMA! lol

I was really disappointed by the deaths of Weems and Kinbott. I felt like they were locked in to return in the next season. They would challenge Wednesday, provide insight into who she is, and help her become a better adjusted person. I avoided talking about how great I thought they were till this point because it would be all too easy for people to contextually reveal what happened to them in replies. I get they think they had to write Goody out because it doesn’t make sense that she would age with Wednesday, but that’s exactly how it would work if her spirit stayed in Wednesday, so all they need to do to have her return is say she managed to survive in her, so they can run scenes where they talk to each other.

Yeah! It’s a shame we won’t get the mentor figures back. Even with Goody! We thought that was a pretty cool dynamic. Our thoughts is that this was done to allow Wednesday and the crew to overcome the next obstacles without guidance in a way. Just the core crew Vs the next threat. That way we can really dig into Enid, Bianca, Eugene and Xavier as supporting characters. But who knows! We still have some Addams family members yet to meet 😃

Couple things: 1) At the fair when Tyler says she is kooky and she says she prefers spooky and the finger snaps were part of the 1960's tv show theme song kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZfEqKd6iZ5na9E . 2) Uncle Fester had an affinity for electricity. 3) Morticia and Gomez were always fencing. 4)As you can see in the intro song Morticia was clipping off the roses from the stems just as she removed the rose at Garett's grave, she grew them for the thorny stems. Finally I think ( hope) Morticia could be the new principle. Also at the end Xavier gave her a new cell phone with his number in it. How did the stalker get her number?

I love that hug between Wednesday and Enid in the woods after Wednesday defeated Joseph Crackstone. Who by the way, I thought was very much a hypocrite, considering he was a revived, magic using pilgrim looking to eradicate everyone who was supernatural. Also, I really love how Enid became such close friends with Thing and the reveal Marilyn Thornhill actually being a descendent of Joseph Crackstone was a twist and a half. (Especially after Christina Ricci played Wednesday herself in the 90s movies) On an added note: I greatly admire any actor or actress who can deliver a line deadpan without so much as a facial twitch, Jenna Ortega does that spectacularly as Wednesday Addams.

The Casting team and or writers and screen authors knew what they did getting this group of people together. The Cast was Top-Notch, yes Jenna Ortega deserved all the compliments she got but I'd like to humbly extend that to the rest of those who played the "Kids" main leads as well. ^^ What do you think? The actor of Taylor was great switching from Boy next door to tottally Psycho wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't been yet, he might find an occurence theme with that in his life (but please only on screen, I mean one hears from roles that have been buggling with actors and actresses minds from time to time ^^ 😉 😉)

I loved your reactions throughout the season! You always have very interesting thoughts and reactions. And I like to see you guess certain things. I didn't expect to enjoy the series so much when I watched it but damn it was entertaining and I loved reliving this experience with you. I think we all agree that Thing and Enid are the two most pure and precious beings. It's great that their relationship was developed independently of Wednesday. As for Tyler, it was very funny to see both of you believing in him until the end because I believed in him too and the scene at the police station really shocked me. Excellent acting, btw! What I liked is that even if Tyler seems like pure evil once he drops the mask, there are clues telling us it's probably more complex than that. First, the flashback where Thornhill targets him and sequesters him is disturbing. He is a grieving teenager, neglected by his father, isolated from his friends because he wanted to be a better person, who fell prey to a sociopathic grown up who kidnapped, tortured and forced him to become a monster and her servant. I think it's great they managed to make us feel bad about that scene even though Tyler didn't seem nuanced in episode 8. Because I'm sure he is but it will be shown in the next season. When I rewatch the series, I realize Tyler is gradually consumed by the personality of The Hyde. He has no memories at first. That's why he asks Wednesday, in episode 2, to tell him about her meeting with The Hyde. And I think episode 3 is when all his memories come back to him: when we see him underwater, opening his eyes and screaming in pain. This scene proves he is a victim, horrified by his monster doings even if the innocent teenager he was disappears in favor of the psychopathic and murderous personality of The Hyde. It's literally Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and I can't wait to see what they'll do with him in Season 2. Is he redeemable or is it too late? Does he have a bit of free will or was he completely at the mercy of his master? If it's the later, does his talk that "he enjoys his victims screams" is a way of not going crazy by convincing himself he's a monster as well as an attempt to regain an illusion of free will by convincing himself he enjoys killing the people he is ordered to kill? So many questions. I sincerely hope they will not cast Tyler as a pure villain. I would find it a shame, in a series about outcasts, to make the Hydes unable to be saved. They are literally outcasts among outcasts. They are condemned from birth by their genetics. It would not be an interesting story to ignore the mental health problems of these people and the target they are for people with bad intentions who turn them into slave monsters. I don't mind Tyler being a villain and going the wrong path as long as the show continue to acknowledge he's also a victim of genetics, his dad, the outcasts that didn't help him, and Thornhill. Sorry, I wrote a lot. But I really like this kind of "villain" and I really hope Tyler will be well written because the actor has crazy potential!

Loved the reaction. I recently discovered your channel(with Hunger Games- i hope you can do all of them) and i already subscribed. I'm sure you'll get this a lot in your Hunger Games videos but i highly recommend cheching out The Maze Runner trilogy if you can. Just like Hunger Games, it's really good and it has a very interesting concept. But back to Wednesday, Cristina Ricci(the 1990's Wendsday) was the bad guy this season. @@OfficialMediaKnights No, not until this show did she and her mother talked about having visions. But all the visions that Wednesday have were true. Maybe her mother's aren't and others, but check to see that Wednesday visions always are true.

@@pauldhoff I would say that no vision is false, that was some character's perspective or lie. The thing is that visions sometimes come in flashes or enigmas, leading to misinterpretation... For example, if Wednesday didn't have seen the paintings in Xavier' studio, but had seen it from a vision of he painting them, she would still came up with the conclusion that he was the Hyde, thus, being wrong even the vision itself wasn't. The warnings that Goody give to Wednesday in her visions and the vision in the book registered by the mother of that telekinesis guy are good examples of visions being misinterpreted or just not understood at all.

I might have said before but I called that Tyler would be the antagonist (because the show made him seem trustworthy and that would make the turn more shocking.) Still as the show went on it provided so many false leads I started suspecting them all and couldn’t really say I had the answer figured out, just a growing list of reasons/people to compare and why and it got so long I gave up because all the misleads were intentional and had piled up too well.

Exactly! Same thing happened to us. In the back of our heads we were just keeping an eye on him but the other leads really shuffled it for us! We were suspecting the therapist and Thornhill. But Tyler started to feel like a way off choice. Some of those turns in the final episodes truly got us. We thought even if he was the antagonist maybe he couldn’t control it or something that would reduce the blame. But nope…he knew exactly what he was doing!

I really enjoyed this show; especially watching it along with you guys. I have a question. When I watched this series on its release, I was certain the 'monster' was Tyler. From the first glimpse of the big-eyed, gangly Hyde, there is no word of a lie... I said, 'That's Tyler!' So, did no one else see it? IT WAS ALWAYS IN THE EYES! I mean, yeah - Marilyn Thornhill being the 'big bad' is a little more skewed, but still... the RED FLAGS... were always there. I kinda suspect the way in which Tyler being the Hyde sprang out to me was because its 3D model will have taken reference from Hunter Doohan and my mind - heavily oriented towards the visual side of arts - saw something that suggests they simply pulled, pushed, and exaggerated features until... *poof* HYDE! Still, no one I've watched react to this has seen the 'Tyler is the Hyde' thing until quite late into the series. The misdirects and red herrings put there to throw the audience into suspecting others (especially those put in place to try and make us suspect Xavier) were kind of lost on me. Sorry, this is a bit long-winded. To be honest - I've been holding on to that since the show aired... but didn't want to seem like a d!ck. Not least of all because - ultimately - I did really love this series.

That is an interesting thing you pointed out! It wouldn’t be the first time the use subtle changes in visual cues to suggest character development. For example a more technical visual cue was in Into the spider verse. They utilized frame rates that correlated directly with the characters journey. I caught how they were using more warmer tones in lighting towards the end of the show. So they could have definitely done the same for Wednesday

I'm sure this series has been great, if you're crazy about series'. However, you two have quickly become my favorite "reactors" and these series don't seem to drive significant "views" #'s. My concern is that you'll choose not to stay in the game long enough to see your overall #'s climb. I've said before, you guys are different. You're smart, funny, likeable, knowledgeable in all the arts of film, enthusiastic - but not noisy, squeaky, giddy...😂, compassionate, well versed, well spoken, and you give actual reactions. You catch subtleties, sarcasms, and obscurity. It's obvious that you both appreciate the intrinsic, symbiotic relationships between screenwriter, writer, casting, lighting, sound, score, etc etc, and how each can make or break a project. *imagine my abject dispair when you choose to use "Mario Bros", or any of the "Austin Powers, Dumb and Dumber, John Candy" type films. (🤔🤣 yeah yeah, I know there is great art there too, and preferences are objective, but...🤣) In any case, you "kids" are unlike any of the others 👍. I thoroughly enjoy watching your facial expressions and knee-jerk reactions to some of your offerings. You look between the lines where most of a film resides. Ideally, because you are "thinkers" and "creators", it would be WONDERFUL if you set yourselves apart from the herd and presented far more cerebral type films. There are soooo many incredible movies that not only require thought, contemplation, discernment, but that surprisingly also are funny, touching, intense, inspiring, tragic etc. Movies with plots and twists and actual character development!!! Even some with "real-life" orhistorical events and references (my favorite). I would have preferred to send this privately somehow, but alas, not possible. So...I'm sending, perhaps again, a very short list of movies you MUST peruse. I was changed by a couple of them. Even if you have 100 suggestions ahead of them or simply choose to never "react" to them on the channel, my hope is that you experience them. Each is exceptional!! My interest isn't necessarily that you use them, rather that you enjoy them, THEN hopefully become THE reactor channel that doesn't just follow, using the same films and series' that continue to be used to death. Class this game up!! Green Book, Awakening, Murder in the First, Hidden Figures, Dead Man Walking are all based on real events involving topics from NASA, Alcatraz, the segregated south, political prisoner rescue, DOPAMINE 🤣. etc.. @@OfficialMediaKnights I just watched the first episode and decided to go back chronologically and watch your reaction to "Chernobyl" to get your reaction to Craig Mazin's work since he did this prior to "The Last of Us". I've seen quite a few reactions to this. It was so good! Hopefully you guys will react to Cobra Kai and Stranger Things, unless you've already seen them. I loved this show! I hope in season 2 Xavier and Wednesday get together. I think they were a better match than her and Tyler. And I love Enid and Ajax together! I think they're a cute couple! Gave me butterflies when they kissed for the first time 😅 and that Bianca gets with the Mayor's son. I also liked Bianca's story arc and that she didn't just stay the mean girl. I'm looking forward to more of her story(hopefully) in S2! I also loved Thing and Enid's friendship 😭 I've loved Thing in every Addams family show/movie I've ever seen and this is probably my favorite! The actor for him did so well at capturing a no face hands emotions!

Tyler is a really good representation of what it’s like to be in a relationship with a covert narcissist. They really know how to make you feel sorry for them and make you doubt your own gut feelings about them/the situation. I knew from the start he was going to be the bad guy, but only from my own life experiences. I know this is technically a “kids/young adult” type of show, but I think they did a really good job portraying this type of personality and how easily they can manipulate and fool you. On a side note: just started watching your channel (loved “the Mummy” ones!) and just really like how you both interact with each other and are both so equally excited ☺️. Glad you enjoyed Wednesday as much as we all did 🕷️🕸️🖤.

Wednesday may be a smart girl but it took a little witchcraft (paradoxical for fanatics who hate witches), a Hyde and a pilgrim from the past with magical powers to understand that, without friends, sometimes, you're screwed. Without Enid, Bianca, and Eugene, the outcome would have been quite different Will we see a more social Wednesday in the next season?

We do believe this season taught her to lean into the people that care for her more. I think next season is still gonna be a mystery in tone but the entire crew is gonna be involved somehow in solving it. I think moving forward we could have some awesome team ups to solve certain clues like Enid & Thing, Xavier and Eugene or Wednesday and Bianca. They got a really talented cast so we can’t wait to see what they come up with

I would love to find out that The Addams Family takes place in the same universe as Harry Potter and have Harry Potter be the Principal for the 2nd year. Also, have Lady Gaga as the dance and music instructor. That's a class Wednesday would enjoy as her mother and father's favorite dance is the Tango.

I don't think we've heard the last of Goody either. Morticia said to be careful around Goody, and the smile, almost laugh, from Goody when she entered Wednesday makes me think that she is living inside Wednesday now, protecting her as a host. As one reactor said she is now "Woody Addams". I just turned 80 years old and I loved this series! Makes me think that everything really isn't going to hell in a handbasket!! LOL

Ahhhh man, The Haunting of Hill House is my (Denise) all time favorite show, and Ari loves it too!! I'm deeply passionate about but we both watched it so many times, having even a rewatch reaction wouldn't quite come across too entertaining! Would it be absolutely crazy if they tried to free Tyler of the Hyde? If they are gonna keep the triangle going Percy would need a new competitor. I don’t think they should because Tyler would be so ordinary unless they changed him into something new. That is if Tyler isn’t just being true to his nature but the whole Hyde aspect may have just been the influence on him. Percy’s art power has wicked potential if he uses it to set up traps and beasts to compete with and even outmatch the Hyde. Tyler would probably need a new ally or two, and he had one to begin with, so it’d only be right to do that again somehow.

You know, it would actually be interesting if they could draw a little from the original Jeckyll and Hyde story, where Tyler is trying to separate himself from the Hyde, or even gain control over it? Like they are not one and the same, and his behavior was more a combination of chemical intervention and manipulation - it'd make it even more complex! Xavier's Power is definitely so fruitful for some awesome badassery so hopefully they lean more into that aspect!

I don't think Percy (Xavier) would be returning because shortly after the episodes aired, he got canceled for SA allegations, racism, and sexism. He got fired from the show, so I'm curious to see what they would do since their main potential love interest was booted.

You see, sometimes the too obvious ends up being true.... When they focused on Thornhill's muddy boots right after the first murder when she met Wednesday for the first time, a clue saying she just came out of the woods, I thought it was too obvious, so I discarded her as a suspect..btw.. I don't understand why you at some point doubt of Wednesday's visions.. they've been so spot on since day one... Anyway guys it was great seeing you reacting..top 3 of all Wednesday's reactions..🙃👍
