Weed and Ulcerative Colitis - Does it help?

I have smoked vaped daily for the past 45 plus years. Five days ago I quit so far lol. I do believe there is a correlation between blood in stool and the weed. To day no blood. Don't know I might have my head up my hoop. Been flaring for one month now. I am trying to heal with the Gaps diet, I have healed with the gaps diet before. If not I will be going for the biological drugs. Been on heavy prednisone dose four times in the last fourteen months. Being disciplined with my food choices is difficult for me but have been on track this time and seeing improvement. Thanks for giving me a space to unload.

Hi.. a bit late to this video but I have been considering using CBD for a while now.. would you recommend using it every other day rather than every day so to not build up too much of a tolerance to it?

Interesting topic! I smoked a joint each evening for about a week during a recent flare. I THINK weed helped to reduce some of my symptoms, but weed didn't get me out of my flare. I think if weed is used responsibly, weed could be one part of an overall treatment regime. But of course medicines, sleep, healthy diet, exercise, and reducing stress are the most important parts of a treatment regime. Weed might add 1% improvement to your treatment regime. Of course every little bit counts! 🙂

It's definitly quite subjective. I like the 'I THINK' because that's exactly how I feel about it myself. I am not sure if it helped or hindered at all at the end of the day, but I THINK it might have?

With this did you speak to doctors about your usage if so what was there response ? I was diagnosed 2 years ago but suffered with issues for years. I found smoking cannabis really helped ease pain and allowed me to relax and with this ease of symptoms. Only downside is sometimes eat to much junk 🙃

No I never brought it up to my doctor. WIll be honest it felt like an off limits topic in GP appointments. I probably could have but not sure how useful the GP would have been at the time.

No I don't, sounds like your either in panic, or got something in your lungs. Take a rest in a quiet space and see if your still short of breath. If so call the doctor.
