Great video! I've done the mic off or focus thing before, rendering the first video useless, I hate when that happens!

Thank you! Yep, always a nightmare! All part of the content production fun... Hmm, maybe it's a sign I need to invest in a better mic:D

We've been down that path! The Rode wireless mics and then the lavaliere add-ones are what we're using now as well as a Rode overhead mic. It wasn’t inexpensive but it definitely has made a big difference. We sometimes have to do some sound balancing in post, but the quality is excellent.

Just purchased this printer this morning and it is arriving on Jan 12. How are you liking it so far?

Nice! Where did you buy it from? It's a cool printer, I think I'm going to like it, but as with any printer it has its pros and cons... I always start compiling the pros/cons list as soon as I start using the printer, ready for the review video in a few weeks time:)

Ideal! Nothing beats buying before a price increase, especially one that big :D

@@CallumColes it was $539 last week, and the day I was going to get it, it went to $639, so I decided against it. Then I saw one for $609, on payday, and the husband unit told me to do it.

Where can this printer be purchased from ?? Also have you any experience of the Mosaic pallete a friend who is airline crew recently was in Canada and brought me one back as a Christmas present. As of yet I have only unboxed it. Seems very well made and is extremely heavy just not had the time to try it all out yet

It depends where you are based, AliExpress ship worldwide directly from the manufacturer. I have also seen it on a few different reseller websites, so a google search may bring up some local results for you. I do have a Palette 2S, which I still need to put a lot more hours on! It's an interesting machine, simplicity coupled with excellent build quality. However, that combination does by no means make for a perfect machine. Expect some print failures! To help improve reliability, from a material perspective, I would recommend using only one manufacturer for each material group, e.g. PLA from the same place. Even two materials marketed as PLA can vary massively between manufacturers. I was playing with Canvas the other day and painting up a Bobble Head from the Fallout games, so will do more videos with the Pallette when I have some cool stuff to show:)

@@CallumColes thanks Callum what’s the company that you recommend the English pla etc for the life of me cannot don’t the address which I thought I had saved

I recommend 3DTomorrow: 3dtomorrow.com It's not the cheapest product on the market, but that's because UK production and environmental best practices are prioritised. For example, 11 different UK companies are supported from the purchase of the product and the PLA filament is as pure as you can get (no cheap fillers or standard non-PLA colourant). That said, there are multi-buy discounts, a spool buyback program, filament waste recycling and filament refills launching this month. Full disclosure 3DTomorrow is my company. It is worth bearing in mind that PLA is more brittle than other materials, so for the Pallette it could be worth playing with other materials too. Specifically, something like PETG might work well because it is more flexible, so happier being bent around the Pallette mechanism.

Thanks! It’s a lovely colour, @filamentfrenzy (Twitter/Instagram) has been doing some prints with it if you want a better look at finished prints. Probably wouldn’t recommend it for Pallete though, since it’s marginally stiffer than regular PLA due to the added aluminium speck, which naturally makes it more likely to snap inside the bends.
