Great video's. I am actually going back to school to get my Bachelors in Accounting, and I have been thinking of going into bookkeeping while I am in school as suggested by a friend of mine that is an accountant. Doing this will allow me the freedom to do and being a Data Analyst for a fortune 5 company (pay isn't that great and the stress) I think it should be an easy transition into bookkeeping since you are categorizing things.

Go for it! While you're working on your degree you could do some small business bookkeeping on the side!

Thanks for the video! We are in month 1/3 in preparing for our Bookkeeping launch. The suggestion I would like to share is to look into a free project management tool. Why? Because it provides a way to organize your goals, set deadlines, and hold you accountable to all of your work. It also gives you a framework of organization if you decide to expand your business. We use ClickUp and love it, but there are a lot of options out there.

I agree w the researching parts of this video. I've bn researching about Accounting, to a lesser extent Bookkeeping & much lesser extent Finance. The more I go, the more it seems that from the txbks, basic Accounting is I guess ol school Bookkeeping. It seems that the general field, Financial MGMT, goes from Bookkeeping to Accounting to Finance (entry lvl, mid lvl, & then possibly the more traditional math. lvl). The few videos of yours I've watched are awesome😎

Oh wow haha thank u!!! The KZbin algorithm listed u in it's suggested list of videos for me to watch. The title of your channel is perfect bc I think the txbk I have bn reading off & on & more recently a website mentioned in the first few chapters that trial balances (unadjusted to adjusted) aren't used in some Bookkeeping software, but I was thinking how do modern bookkeepers keep track of internal transactions, like using supplies throughout a month or so many many wks?

You're so cool. I like that you're showing your real time action steps into becoming a bookkeeper. I'm extremely a Type A i guess, as i have a 60 hour playlist of all bookkeeping videos of I think I have to learn before starting but it justs creates the thought that there's still a lot that idk about insteaf of trusting in my self and my skills. This video inspires me to just take action giving practical steps on what i should have to start with. Thanks!

Love "Business Boutique" Book, it helped me with my business. Why do you say bookkeeper in quotes? lol Bookkeeper is a real job title.

I only use air quotes around bookkeeper in my videos as I was _becoming_ a bookkeeper. I didn't feel like I could really use that title until I had bookkeeping clients. It is totally a real job title and one that I am now proud to have :)

I don’t know if any good, free courses, but there are lots of KZbin videos to help with understanding the full scope of what it looks like to start and grow a bookkeeping business!
