Some of the negative comments on y’all’s videos are pretty wild. The nerve some people have 🤡🤡 I’m commenting to let you two know that I’m super impressed by how you two are doing and I love being able to share little snippets or your lives. Keep it up! Hope you got to get some sun in the last couple of days ❤

@@Claysanas I can imagine that it is really good to see a little sun. My wife and I we on Vancouver Island the last couple weeks visiting our daughter and grandsons. We had some nice weather at first then rain nearly every day. How was that windstorm on the 19th and 20th up there? We had trees down, ferries cancelled and power outages in the southern part of the island.

Great pictures again. And you sparked some great old memories I have of standing on a beach staring at the forest for a bear that had torn thru our canoes and belongings after going for a hike. You remember the cold, scary things that happen more than the sunny days and cherish the memories. That is why I keep going back out for more adventure. Thanks for the video.

We love, love, love your videos! The closeups, and scenery. You both are so brave to be on such an adventure, far away from help if needed. Wow. On the other side of the country (NS) here. Our evening weather would talk about the big storm out there. We couldn’t help but wonder how you both were. Be safe!

Those little pelican kayaks are fun, we have two of them. I use to take my German shepherd in the cockpit with me. But be careful if you capsize, tricky in rough water. I found them hard to get out of with gear on, as the sides are slippery and there is nothing to grab onto upside down. I usually run a rough rope from stem to stern as an emergency extraction tool. I could watch this all day! I was wondering how you guys fared during the big storm (bomb cyclone). I am in WA state and we lost power for 3 days. Lost part of our fence and a downspout. Thank goodness for our wood burning fireplace. Our town tied for second place on the highest winds during the storm (74 mph). We live at the foot of Mt Rainier, near Crystal Mountain ski resort. I did think about you, and wondered how bad it got there. Thank you for putting out such stunning content!

I met a fellow at a party one night years ago, who did caretaking at a Cariboo hunting lodge on the Ungava peninsula, when it was closed down for the winter. It sounded like a dream job to me, but I guess you really need to consider just how well you could cope with being alone, and the elements. There was a time I would have jumped at the chance to do something like this, but I'm too old now. But it is great to watch you guys doing what you are.

I have done a six month stint as a winter caretaker on a very remote island for a great couple , it was a great experience I learned a lot about myself back then and even though I am at retirement age I would do it again in a heart beat , the biggest thing for me now is keeping warm and dry , keep the wood stove going and lots of split wood at the ready !

LED lights, if available, will double as grow lights. I use small powerful LED shop light bars to start my plants in the spring. It looks like your kitchen lights are likely fluorescent but if LEDs put your plants close to them. A therapy light would do the same if you have one. Just throwing out ideas for ya. LOL

It should be good crabbing off the Dock. Crab in the bay can be up to 90 ft deep. Set the trap with a Salmon head Zapped tight on the floor in the center. There has been Halibut caught off the Docks also! Lings in Bruin Bay! Go gettem!

The seedlings are too leggy, id prob restart some. The tall ones won’t be strong enough to produce. You need to lower the light or raise the seed trays, but I’m not sure how that would work with a heat lamp…it could be a fire hazard?
