This time last year, I was up to my ears managing a full-time schedule of science courses while studying for the MCAT. I seriously felt so overwhelmed and questioned why I was doing this to myself and how would I make it. Watching your videos helped me stay motivated and inspired during those hard times. Fast forward a year later: 12 interviews at amazing med schools, and 4 acceptances already! I actually talked about watching your vlogs on one of my interviews with a med student 😆 Thanks for doing these vlogs, America!

I'm so glad you like psychiatry! I'm biased that this is the best specialty because I'm a psych nurse and currently going to school to become a Psychiatric NP! I love psych because there is so much variety and everyone you meet is different. Hearing people's stories, good or bad, is such a privilege! I'm secretly rooting for you to become a Psychiatrist :)
@oliviajoseph173 жыл бұрын
hi, i know it’s been at least 2 years, but i wanted to ask how can you become a psychiatrist? i’m now becoming a sophomore in high school and i’ve always been interested in psychiatry since i was in seventh grade. so, i just wanted to ask because i know you need an undergraduate of science and 4 years of medical school including 4 years of residency. the thing is im not to sure about the process, so i just wanted to ask you since you’re a psychic nurse, after all.

@@oliviajoseph17 i was wondering the same thing ive been looking at a lot of KZbin videos and all i just finished my junior year in high school and i need to know what major im going in for and im stuck between this or psychology/just a regular therapist if its ok maybe we can keep touch and inform if we find anything ?
@oliviajoseph173 жыл бұрын
@@danielagarcia7056 yes of course. my instagram+snapchat is oliviaa.joseph whichever social media app you want to contact me from i’ll reply :) . i’ve also been watching YT videos you’re suppose to have 4 years of bachelor’s, 4 years of medical school ( which is hard to get into ), and 4 years of residency of course .

I've had a really horrible semester of undergrad, both with my mental health and my grades. I just want to let you know that you have helped me SO MUCH to put things into perspective with higher education. When I'm having a horrible time or got a bad grade back I just think of how you are so open and transparent about your mental health struggles or how you worked so hard in undergrad and are doing amazing things. Seriously idk where I would be if I didn't watch your videos and I'm not over exaggerating! Thank you America and keep up the good work :)

I've waited so long for you to film rotation in psychiatry, I think it's the most amazing and interesting thing I've ever read about and it's the only reason I'll be going to med school!I've never even considered one, I've always wanted to be an English teacher, but my mind changed recently..I'll have to change a lot of things in my life bc of that but I honestly think it'll be worth it.

I’m a nursing student and I loved psychiatry rotation. Reading clients charts and understanding what events led to their condition. It’s always different and I honestly feel that more awareness and funds should be provided for the mental health community, why not treat the brain like we do any other organ. I prayed I would find my calling and I feel like mental health it is :) .
