Indian here. Mexican food and hospitality is like traditional Indian food and hospitality (nowadays, things are a bit broken) - lots of vegetables and curries, lots of traditional recipes and people with big hearts. The hot climate makes the cold AC air really potent. The temperature difference is one thing, and the cold air that supercools the mucus lining in your nose causes a reduction in immune response leading to the particular cold virus (lots of them - coronaviruses, rhinoviruses, etc) finding a great place to multiply in your nose lining. Then it goes to your throat, where again, an open mouth (due to a stuffed nose, you gotta breathe, right?) produces the same cool dry conditions which are just right for the viruses to multiply in the reduced immune response area. The trick is to wear a mask when sitting in an AC and let the AC cool your body but not your respiratory system.

Can confirm, it's definitely an AC thing with the throat. It happens to me all the time when I'm somewhere with AC. It absolutely f*cks with my throat and sinuses. I spend a load of time in Colombia and end up just using a fan instead of AC, it does the trick. Also... chanclas is one of my favourite words. Once I learned it, sandals were never the same again.

Worst vlog I've seen. Mostly indoors talking about unrelated garbage, there's a cut every 2 to 5 seconds like you've got a severe case of ADHD mixed with other mental illnesses, little to no explanation, almost no footage of outside around you in Mexico. There's more than just you that exists. Point the camera elsewhere, stop cutting constantly... In fact try to make a video like Harld Baldr. One continuous recording changing the camera view to show your face talking, things around you, and people you interact with. I've never seen a vlog THIS bad.

@@Azenithf Public AC doesnt bother me because I'm not in it much. Private home AC is what does it for most people because of the close proximity to the direct cold air.

🤔 if you can’t read Spanish, couldn’t you have just scan it with your phone and get the translation (I mean, you won’t get 100% correctly translated version but you’ll get the gist of what it’s trying to say). Also, a tip for travelling, always try to speak the native tongue of the locals instead of sticking to English (locals always appreciate the effort).

Nice video! When I have a sore throat for more than a day and a half, I usually use Airborne for three to five days, one tablet two to four times a day, and tea with ginger as you did. Ginger is great for sore throats, sore tummies and clogged sinuses. Occasionally I'll crush a whole clove of garlic and mix it into water or broth (just a Tbs or two) and drink it or take it by the spoon once or twice a day. It seems to help.
