I got mine about the same time you got yours haven't driven it as much yet because of poor weather here in nyc. Plus the times that I have I've been stuck mostly in traffic. I agree the cops are watching and gotta be careful some have hard on's for these Hellcats. Even if you do no wrong. That trunk is obessely heavy. Mines is Auto, I'm glad you're enjoying it !

Hey Mike, you have me beat by one Challenger trim; I had a '14 RT 5.7, '15 Scat, '16 Scat Shaker and now a '15 Hellcat. Lol you hit the nail right on the head about the Hellcat feeling just like the 392 when you're just driving around town going from stoplight to stoplight. Some people are surprised when I tell them that, but in those situations the 392 is just as fun as the Hellcat. Also, yes I love the gear ratios in the Hellcat much better; the long gears feel better for acceleration and you don't have to shift as much to get up to speed.

New sub👍, I did the same with the Charger. Started with a 2009 SE V6, then 2012 RT, then 2016 Scat Pack, now 2018 Hellcat. I’ve just hit 3,000 on the cat and man it’s been an experience. People come up and ask questions about the car. Lots of thumbs up and traffic light. Brotherhood of Muscle!

Sublime is killer! My WB is Granite with Sublime accents(Badges ect.). A few recommendations are remove the CDV, the clutch will feel lighter and shift more smoothly. Get a Barton!! It's a must for our M6's. Add a Speed Dawg ball and it looks great! Only real down flaw is the gearing in the manual. 61mph in 1st gear is horrible. One day I plan on doing the Transzilla and you'll be right there with the A8's. Happy for you! Have fun! Oh and if you love that whine grab an LMI Intake 😎

mikebythesun I had a 2015 sublime scat pack for about 3 years. I recently traded it in for a 2015 sublime hellcat with the automatic transmission and 3k miles for 45k. Definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion. If you care about seeing the car... my Instagram is Digital_car_addict

Great observations! 🤔 Gears "tall". Blessing & curse. SRT rationale: torque negates need for lower initial gears. However, I found sorta impedes smooth modulation on "quick take offs". My experience: 2015 stick HC, taking off quick compromise between "not so stunning" application of power vs tire shredding drama. (Refused to slip the clutch excessively) Nevertheless, great car? Absolutely!!!👍

mikebythesun they are all over the place on these numbers..amazing you got a car in the color you wanted. With manual tranny and well cared for at a price you were happy with. .you really must be happy. ..my wife is not that warm and fuzzy with my notion of a hellcat. She thinks the srt should be enough. ..im working on her ...going to cost me a gucchi bag or some kinda payoff. Haha

Hugo Flores demon might be kinda hard, id say your best bet is get a hellcat widebody and then ask dodge if they’d be willing to put the demon specs in it

Lookin to get a good, used srt8 392, or a scat pak even, something with the 6.4 in it, I’m thinking 2011-14 with the 6 speed manual and 40-60,000 mile range. Do you think that’s a good idea? I’m trying to keep the price in the low $20,000 range because it’s gonna be my first and I’m only gonna drive it during the summer and the weekends and I don’t need a crazy payment every month, given that I have a mortgage and other bills I have to meet.. Any insight would be appreciated,

Joe Dickerson You can definitely find what you’re looking for in the price range you want. I bought a 2011 SRT8 with 60k miles and didn’t have a single issue with it. (In fact, i still miss that car!) For low $20s you can have a lot of fun with that car and not overload your budget. Plus, with the 11-14’s, you don’t need a hacked PCM to tune the car... just plug a tuner in. And those 392s pull out more than 500HP with a simple tune. Good luck hunting! If you think of it, pls come back and post a comment if you find your car!

Brendan Walsh Under 20k miles will continue to be a sweet spot for those under 3 years old because the basic warranty will still be in effect, so expect those prices to remain consistent with where they are now.

Silvino Salazar Thanks man. The lease vs finance really depends upon your needs and length of time you want to keep the car. For a while the lease deals on Challenger Hellcats were really attracted (little down, ~$600/month in some areas), but I’m not sure what’s available now being that I wasn’t looking into leases. If you think you’ll want to have a new car again in a few years then, sure, leasing can make sense. But I”m seeing some sick deals on new Scat Packs that are pretty hard to pass up. IMO the Scat with the dynamics package is the best value you can get when buying. One last thing... if you think you’re going to wind up in a Hellcat at some point, I’d suggest focusing on that instead of wasting time and money on a Scat. Like my old man told me, if you’re going to get a car for the ENJOYMENT it, just get what you want (so long as you can afford it, etc). Good luck on your decision!

BigOG TT Not drags, they are Nitto NT555 G2’s. 295 rear, 275 front. Wheels are standard SRT 9.5 all around.

James Hicks There’s a big difference between the 2012-14 and 2015 models, and not just the cosmetic differences. One is that you can tune the older ones with just a tuner; the 15+ need a new pcm and a tuner, which will run you over a grand.
