the way you described olivie blake's narrative structure I agree wholeheartedly. I also feel like the middle is tough to get through because she prioritizes some characters over others which defeats the purpose of an assemble cast

seven days in june is REALLY depressing, I agree you have to be in the right headspace to read it.
