It seems like as long as you can clear that first level the rest of the game is easy enough. Kinda like he mentioned it being the Dark Souls of the genre.. if you could do the first boss, you can do the rest with enough practice.

The teleport doesn't really seem worth upgrading if it only increases the distance. Well at least not with how far they are. You can easily outrun the statues, so having that maxed out makes it easier to get around. The default teleport distance and cooldown seems perfectly fine for how you have to use it. Again, this might change later, but for now they're fine I think.

It might also help if they redistribute their skill points to invest more in teleport. It's usually a good idea to invest more in the skill unlocked more recently.

You can teleport through the statues, but then you aren't facing them anymore and they are super fast so they just turn around and tackle you.

Yeah that first level was just complete bullshit.. there's too much to manage with no powers for it to be the very first level. That 2nd one was seriously child's play once they figured out how to bring up the tablet.
