Biscuits are my main addiction. I have a rare genetic metabolic disease, so I should be avoiding all things gluten, dairy and sugar free. I eat gluten free biscuits, but I often fall off the wagon. Hob Nob biscuits give me constipation, same as Rich Tea/Digestive biscuits. I love dark chocolate, the higher the cocoa content the better. 70%-85%.

Definitely joining, feeling the same way- have been eating vegan but not always whole foods exclusivelyFor the last three months. My weight has increased and I feel bloated most of the time. I will do both the eating guidelines you posted as well as the exercise program. I will take my measurements today and post before and after results. Thank you for this motivation and support. We can do this!

I'm a new fan & new to plant based & following the starch solution. Your videos have been so helpful! I'm just over a week in and doing great so far. I definitely will join for the challenge but won't be doing the exercise component because I'm a paid member with Get fit with rick & also working out with a trainer twice a week. I love this. So glad you’ve had such a positive response. I’m up for this challenge. I’ve just been away and not eaten the best, plus I’ve had some emotional things going on, but you know when you just feel ready to draw a line under things? That’s me. . Doing these challenges with others makes it so much better. I love that we have so much in common. Also 46, so totally get the movement part.

Hi everyone, happy good morning to you. I thought I'd also put my measurements up here so Natalie doesn't feel so bare in hers. Plus, I think it will help me stay accountable to myself? At the moment I can't find the flexible tape measure, so I used a charging cord to take my measurements. I measured first at my waist and laid the cord onto the metal measure that I had pulled out at a cross arm distance. What!!?? my eyes opened sooooooo wide because I had to stop and open the tape measure MORE! 😳😳😳😵😵😵. So you bet your sweet behind that I'm in for this challenge! A word on myself first. I retired at 59 yrs. in 2020 due to having Lupus and the effects it was having on my kidneys. At retirement in July of 2020, I weighed in at 170 lbs/ 77kg. I was in so much pain while working that I convinced myself that eating "Amy's" frozen meals was ok. This meant and I could just heat one up at night for (nourishment 🙄), take two doses 4,000 mg of CBD oil, the maximum of acetaminophen and ibuprofen, and crash in my bed. 6 months later, I had lost 20 lbs/9.1kg. This was due to eating only whole foods, no sweets except 2 fruits a day, and walking the maximum of 6,000 steps a day that my body would tolerate from me. Today, I'm completely off the CBD oil, and if i behave, I only need acetaminophen/prn. So, I've become SOLD on the fact of how much of an impact the WFPB way of eating is. Over the last year I've let sweets find their way back into me, so the scale is going up again!! So, no processed sweets in the last 2 weeks. I've found though that I'm eating a lot more fruit, and the scale is not moving. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 Yea, yea, I know, calories are calories no matter how you look at it. I'm sabotaging myself! So alright, back to basics. Much love, compassion and light to everyone. 🙋👋✌. Oops forgot my numbers..... 62 yrs, weight. 156.6 lbs/ 70kg. Height = 61"/154.9cm. Body fat - 29.2%, BMI = 29.6, BP = 122/81, Below the bra = 34"/86.4cm waist = 36.5"/92.7cm, Belly button = 41.25"/ 104.8cm, Thigh = 24.75"/ 62.7cm.

My husband and I are up for this challenge!! We both have a mild sweet tooth.. I think what’s going to be the hardest is giving up red meat for us.. We are both full time RVing and traveling the world. I think meal prep might make it easier. Thank for the encouragement 😊

I'm going to join you on the eating part. I have heart failure so I have to exercise gently. I've started trying to get 500 steps every 30 minutes by walking in place so my sedentary job doesn't take but so much of a toll on me. Plus, I put my weight out on Instagram for my 3 whole followers lol. I definitely need the accountability so I'll let everyone here know I weighed 213.2 lbs this morning. And thank you for this.

WFPB for 15 years…but this past year has been emotionally draining with family issues and I’ve fallen into a horribly unhealthy eating pattern. I’m ready to join you and this community to redirect myself to be the best version of my true self I can be. Vacay the first week of July..will make best choices possible…isn’t that real life anyway! Glad to see you back. I have followed this way of eating for two years and still find it challenging to balance it with my work and family commitments (children, elderly sick family members, etc). When working in a structured work setting, this often designates when I am allowed to eat, and what foods I can safely bring to the office without drawing a lot of negative attention with food odor (i.e. broccoli and brussel sprouts stink up to office and bring lots of negative comments! Lol). When I am off, I feel so much more flexibility to eat when I want, what I want (WFPB) and use my stove as I want. Exercise too. My goal is to find the best way that I can incorporate this lifestyle (including exercise and sleep) into my work schedule.

Your timing is perfect Natalie! I just started a 4 week exercise challenge 4 days ago and I am tweaking my diet with so lower fat choices as my weight and cholesterol are creeping up a bit. I would love to participate in the chats and cheer each other on! I will share that after just 4 days I am feeling better too! Like you, less inflamed and lass bloated. It feels great!

I love your channel and I’m so glad you’re back; however, the new format with you in the corner and the rest of the screen being thumbnails of past videos is really difficult to look at…very busy and loud. I hope you’ll go back to a full-screen of you! I just can’t watch the new format. :(

I tried Betty's exercise but it was too much for me. However I have gone back to a brilliant exercise on KZbin by Lucy Wyndham Read. Thank you for the kick to get me back to exercises again. I have also cut down on my fruit consumption to 3 pieces of fruit a day from about 10!
