Hello from a new subscriber ☺ Great videos!!! I'm 60 and have really been focusing on lifting weights (30 minutes 3x a week)the last 7 months as well as increasing my daily steps through walking. I do a lot of cycling - 300km a week- but the strength training has so many positives that come along with it. I feel like superwoman and my cycling has improved too! I've had InBody scans over the last few years and my most recent one showed a 5 lb muscle gain in the last 6 months!!! I am so pleased with this result. It can be done - consistency is the key as well as progressive overload. I keep the training duration down by using opposing muscle supersets. I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs eating mostly whole foods and get about 80 grams of protein a day.

once I passed 45 or so, the more I ran, the heavier I got. instead of the immediate few lbs decrease after a long run, I would bloat up after a long run and retain more wieght. Regardless, I am glad I kept up my cardio/endurance all these years. I feel it's getting a bad rap in fitness circles lately, but imma keep it up!

I’ve been lifting heavier weights , doing yoga for stress , and rebounding for short cardio lymphatic system and so many other benefits plus 10,000 plus steps a day weight is finally coming off at 55 !
