I agree with everything you said. A CGM isn't available for those of us who aren't diabetic because big pharma would lose lots of money for each of us who do NOT become diabetic! It's horrible what big brother has done to us for decades!

I fought over a year for my CGM....finally got it approved, but i go through all the rigamarole every 90 days! Very frustrating, but CGM has helped me tremendously, keeping my glucose levels down...great video, very informative.

I seemed to have developed reactive hypoglycemia since my bypass. Things have been happening to me that I couldnt understand until I started doing my own research. I had my PCP prescribe a CGM for me so I can see the spikes etc and have something to show the endocrinologist when I go next week to get officially diagnosed. My insurance wouldn't pay for it, but I decided to pay OOP and let me tell you... it has been eye opening. The spikes I get are crazy and I can visually see how the foods effect my glucose levels. When I eat lower carb....the diference in my glucose levels are like night and day. I am glad to see there is going to be an OTC CGM.... there isn't any reason why you should have to have a prescription for it. This little device is going to be life changing for me.

I would love one of these for sure. I am not type 2 or type 1 but I am now prediabetic. My poor fingers need a break. So just getting a bit more feedback would be great. Love these videos. Keep it up.

Hi Kristi. Miss your videos but I don't follow the keto protocol anymore. I am carnivore and it is working for me. Now and then You Tube recommends your channel and I listen to you. Love and hugs!!! Cheers

Great information, Kristi! Very informative, and I totally agree with you about the CGM for everyone, not just diabetics to help with the obesity epidemic. My husband is type 1 also, uses the Dexcom and Omnipod and I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering if you’d come across this scenario: I had made low carb cookies, and hubby loved them, eating them frequently. When I first gave him the carb amount to enter, I gave him net carbs. Two or three hours after, he read his blood sugars, and they were pretty high. He asked if I was sure I gave him the right carb amount, and I verified yes, I gave you the net carb amount. Well, it turns out what’s right for me (non-diabetic) isn’t the same for him! He needed the total carb amount, not net. His body handles the carbs totally different than mine. Have you found that out to be true as well? It shocked me. Anyway, keep passing out the good information on your channel. You’re reaching and helping a lot of people. ❤️

I whole-heartedly agree with you about the CGM’s! As I have mentioned, my husband is Type 1, diagnosed at the age of 2, 60 years ago! He has had time lapse without use of his Dexscom 6 due to insurance, and the length of time one unit lasts. Also, in my livestream last Friday, someone asked if any of the 4 of us on that livestream uses or ever used a CGM. I voiced my opinion immediately-check that out.

The cgm is not available yet. Now that stellar is going to be available , my insurance company wants to have me get prior approval for my cgm. I have been using a cgm foe 4 years.

I think the finger stick is just fine and that it’s quite easy to do too even though I don’t have Diabetes but my dad does and my moms mom was borderline diabetic so, I do check my glucose occasionally to make sure it’s good and in range. But however, I just feel that people just want something that takes less effort in checking ones glucose and also I feel that just by doing that that it alone will not help a person lose any weight whatsoever cause the person has to control what they put into their mouth and also how much of it too so that is what will help people to lose weight (portion control). Also Kristi, how are you exactly getting all of your info from? I’ve learned that you can either go by or believe everything you read and medicine and research is always changing too with new information and products too. I just feel that all one has to do is to just control how much you eat and also the amount of sugar you consume too. Hope you have a good night and God bless you. 🙏❤️😺😺❌⭕️
