I don’t see anything wrong with Naman’s technique. That’s usually how I do my weighted dips. It seems to put more emphasis on the chest and triceps and in my opinion are a bit more difficult than the bend at the waist dips. For me, the bend at the waist dips give more work to the shoulders. I don’t think one technique is any better than the other. To each his own. As long as you’re making progress and not injuring yourself then I say go with what you’re comfortable with. Thanks for the video! 👍

Consistency and following knowledge from others will help immensely. I think having our goal can be a personal choice and this younger guy certainly has much to look forward to. Nice work and keep your dreams and aspirations alive.

I like his technique. Lowering the hips and torso in a directly vertical pathway without leaning forward too much. Nothing wrong with yours either, and I am not up to speed with the standards that apply to ‘street style’, but I tend not to encourage leaning forward too much because, in principle, one could simply lean forward to complete the dip instead of lowering the hips and weight at all.

High reps with lower weight to prepare for heavier PRs.
