My Absolute Favorite thing is the Free standing Rubber activator from SWB 256 the sound you get is amazing, no marks or tinny sounds, and the forks last longer. Honestly don’t know what Id do without. Thank me later ! And I have no idea how people keep hitting the weighted forks against their bodies it’s way too painful and uncomfortable!

@FoxyAuraGems thanks for the recommendation! Yes, I have seen that activator. It looks wonderful. Thanks for dropping it here in the comments. 🙏 I agree, to hit the fork on your body again and again can get very irritating. I do it for myself, but when I used to work with my clients, I would have other options. It's unsustainable otherwise! In all honesty, the floor of my office was carpeted, and I often just used to strike the forks on the floor to get them going. 🤷♀🤣 It used to work great! Thanks again for your feedback. Hello. Usually if i dont agree with something i simply skip the video. But this time i feel i have to share my own experience, because this video can be misleading. I own a simple and cheap Mei*nl 136.10 hz earth Om tuning fork. You can simply activate it with your palm, and it have a clean deep voice. But the magic happens when you touch the end anywhere to your body. Strong claming vibration fills the area and almoust your entire body.
@BELightTT10 ай бұрын
@vicevil Sounds wonderful! I'm glad you're having a great experience with your tuning forks. My unweighted tuning forks do not penetrate into the body at all through physical touch. The moment they touch, the vibration dies out. It sounds like you have a magical fork indeed. Thank you so much for sharing about your personal experience. Appreciate it.

@BELightTTАй бұрын
@blackaztec16 I am always extra cautious when giving advice on KZbin, as I am not able to evaluate you with my own eyes. In the case of screws and bolts in the body, I always have some mild concern that the vibration might loosen something, and it is always best to check with your surgeon. Having said that, a joint replacement is built to stand up to life, and the vibration from the tuning fork is quite gentle. Will you probably be fine using the fork near that joint? Yes, probably. If you get any pain or negative symptoms at all, I would stop. You can also certainly use the fork away from that immediate area. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for stopping by the channel.

Thanks for the fast reply✨No worries. I’ll keep trying to find an answer. There’s nothing on the internet either. 2 of my tuning forks came with a muter…a little rubber triangle/sphere piece that goes on the end.🤔
@BELightTT9 ай бұрын
@@anthrodanceI'd have to see it. Most rubber things for tuning forks are either used as "strikers" - meaning they help to activate the fork and make it sound - or if you're using unweighted forks, I could also see laying the fork that's making noise gently down onto the rubber in order to gently distinguish the vibration and stop the sound. There are "feet" that you can put on the stem of the forks, like what you see in my videos. But those are generally designed to enhance the vibration when it makes contact with the body...NOT to dampen the sound. I'm not sure. I hope you can figure it out. Please let me know if you do! Have a great day.

My answer may not be perfect, but here is what I like to explain to people. I hope it helps: Osteoporosis means you have weakened areas of bone, prone to fracture. Imagine how a high-pitched frequency shatters glass or a mirror. Your bones are susceptible to the vibration that travels through them. Is it a guarantee that the low-level frequency of the OTTO 128 will cause an issue? No. But there is some concern with continued use on an osteoporotic bone. Truth be told, there is some evidence out there that those full-body vibration platforms are quite useful for stimulating bone growth, and, in some cases, are being used to treat people with osteoporosis. This is a very different mechanism of action, however, than the localized vibration of a tuning fork, so I hesitate to compare them. Of course, you are free to do as you like, but I tend to be extra cautious, especially when teaching on KZbin, as I am not able to see you with my own eyes and evaluate your personal needs. I would say if you want to use your OTTO 128 on your body, perhaps avoid direct contact on the areas of osteoporosis. Meaning, if you have osteoporosis in your lumbar spine/hips, you would want to use your tuning fork away from those areas, on the face, skull or feet, for example. Also, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel. I appreciate it immensely.

Question about deciding on frequencies. There's so many Hz options & for different purposes. I'm sure they're all beneficial but how do we decide which one to choose? After watching your videos I'm thinking 128 hz might be a good starter? I'm also really interested in the Solfeggio tones but not sure which one is best to start. Any thoughts (or a video) on choosing a tone when getting started? thanks Tara! Xx Chrisie
@BELightTT11 ай бұрын
@chrisieaugustina8498 It's impossible to decide! I agree! There seem to be hundreds of different frequencies available online. That's why, on my channel, I have massively simplified things. I only teach with the OTTO 128Hz. I have other forks, but this is the one I use more than any other. It is also the one I used on my clients for years. So, this is the one I share with all of you. I see tremendous benefits from it, as do many of my students. I think it is a good "all-purpose" frequency and a good "starter", as you said. Having said all that, I would highly recommend you to read a bunch of reviews from different companies. You have a very specific need right now, and something very specific (besides the OTTO 128) might just resonate with you more. Go with what resonates the most. I truly believe in using some amount of intuition with this work. My biggest recommendation is to not start off with too many forks! You will be overwhelmed and you'll wind up not using any. Start with one. Use it consistently for a month or more. If you're loving it, stick with it. If you're not loving it, try another. It's not worth buying 10 forks up front, when you don't even know how you will respond. I hope this helps! Good luck to you. If you think of it, please let me know what you settle on. Have a great day!

@nadurspike Your English is perfectly wonderful. I understand you just fine. My Portuguese is god-awful, so you're ahead of me!😜Amir, the fact is, there are countless frequencies and frequency combinations available on the market. I have not tried all of them, nor do I use all of them. I can only speak from my personal experience and, on this channel, I keep it extremely simple. I only demonstrate with one, single fork. I think there is a lot of value to either of those tuning fork sets that you are considering buying. The best thing to do, in this case, is to look directly at the manufacturer's description. They will tell you exactly how to use the forks. I would suggest selecting the one that resonates most strongly with you based on your desired goals. I hope this helps! Thank you for tuning in from Brazil. Obrigada! Tenha um dia maravilhoso!

@BELightTT2 жыл бұрын
@Orly Martinez definitely!! What a great question! Thank you for asking. You know, Orly, as you probably already know, it is impossible to separate these different aspects of the human experience. You cannot separate the physical, from the emotional, from the mental, from the spiritual. We are complete beings, operating on multiple levels, and one level affects the others. Likewise, with our self-care practices, even if our intention is to treat the "physical body", it is impossible not to have some impact on the mental, emotional, spiritual body. Does that make sense to you? I know that has always been my experience, with myself and with my clients. You know, I think it always comes down to the individual's specific needs and the intention of their session. So for example, some people simply can't use tuning forks on their bodies. Maybe they have some contraindications or maybe they are overly sensitive; and for them, working away from the body is gentler and more effective. Some people are too resistant to subtle energetics, and need that deeper, palpable vibration to even "believe" that the treatment is working. And then much of this will require personal experience. I am big believer in the power of sound, so I also use unweighted tuning forks in my private practice. They are wonderful for shifting the energy in the environment, but also for creating a state change in the body. Is this helpful, or more confusing? Also, there are SO MANY tuning forks available these days. Sometimes, it's just best to read the manufacturer's intention, and try it out and see how it works for you. Not everything will work the same for everybody.🤷♀ I hope this helps!

I am totally new to tuning forks. I am looking to relieve carpal tunnel. Is 136 better for this than the 128 as a beginner
@BELightTTАй бұрын
Hi @alicialewis9001 I tend to be quite non-dogmatic about tuning forks, so honestly, from my perspective, either could potentially be effective. Every individual is different. Some people respond instantaneously to the forks with almost miraculous results. Others never seem to really experience any substantial benefits. I would say if you already have the 136 and don't want to purchase a 128 just for working on your carpal tunnel issue, then use what you got! See if it works for you before purchasing extra tools. Or if you already possess both, try them both out and see what the result is. You might find one is more effective than the other, or you might find that they both give a good effect, or even that neither one works particularly well. Self-experimentation is, fortunately/unfortunately, the best way. I know this answers is quite vague and not what you were hoping for, but my desire is that you feel inspired to just go for it and try it out without overthinking. I promise you won't do any harm, so you can put your mind at rest there. Thanks so much for supporting the channel. Have a great night!

Thank you for such an informative YT clip. May I ask how critical is the tuning of these forks? - A number of people have noted and many have returned forks for being ‘out of tune’…!
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@matthewalexacnder8752 I personally see the tuning fork as a musical instrument, so I believe the tuning to be reasonably important. I do also believe, however, that certain individuals may be more sensitive to this than others. I can also assure you that, just like any instrument, not all tuning forks are built the same/have the same quality. I know many people are finding cheap forks on Amazon. Maybe they're good. Maybe they're not. In my experience, you almost always "get what you pay for".🤷♀I don't mess around with a bunch of different companies when it comes to forks. To me, it's simply not worth it. This instrument will far outlive any of us, so to me, I don't mind investing a bit more for a good quality instrument. I buy all my forks through BioSonics, mostly because one of my teachers is the owner of that company and I simply trust the quality and integrity of his forks without question. For me, it's a no-brainer, but everyone has to make that choice for themselves. I hope this helps! I appreciate you stopping by the channel, watching and commenting. In past videos, you’ve said it’s preferable to only use auto tuner on one area no more than twice. How long should I wait until I can hit the same spot again? I love putting my fork on my sternum over heart it feels like my heart is being tickled
@BELightTT2 ай бұрын
@thatguy3847 Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes, that is one theory, that the nitric oxide effect diminishes a bit with too many applications to the same spot. Please keep in mind that a "spot" is only about the diameter of a quarter, so you have LOT of them, even in a relatively small area. You can certainly spend a good amount of time working the entire length of the sternum (which I also love as much as you, by the way. It's one of my favorites.) In terms of the "reset" time, I would say even if you wanted to work on your sternum once per hour, on the hour, it would be totally fine, especially if you receive those calming effects. I hope this helps! Enjoy your fork and thank you so much for supporting the channel.

@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@Alexandra Pechabadens yes, the weighted tuning fork is much more about vibration than ambient sound. It's probably a bit louder in person than what you hear on my mic in this video, but that is not the purpose of the weighted fork. What do you mean by licensed practitioner? Is this a sound healing licensed practitioner? Is this required?
@BELightTT4 ай бұрын
@EarthSpiritWisdom I believe I was just speaking in general to licensed practitioners, in this case referring to manual therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists and other bodyworkers who might be including sound elements into their treatment strategies. As far as I know, there is no regulating body for sound practitioners, although the rules are always different depending where you live. In the US, we don't have any regulation on sound healers as far as I know. If you are planning to open a practice where you are actually touching people (even if just with sound instruments), it is always a good idea to at least get a license that allows you to "legally touch people" and offers some liability insurance. It's unfortunate that these things are necessary, but it is a smart way to protect yourself as the practitioner. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching and have a great day!

What makes the Otto 128 tuning fork different from other tuning forks?
@BELightTTАй бұрын
Hi @fishman421 Great question! As you probably know, there are countless tuning forks on the market in a variety of frequencies. While a lot of sound healers probably assign very particular results to each individual frequency, I tend to be a bit less dogmatic about it. I think there is probably a significant amount of overlap amongst the various frequencies and that several different frequencies can probably all offer similar positive benefits. I happen to use the OTTO 128 because it was a frequency I was introduced to early on in my exploration, and I just love it! I find that I gravitate toward it over all my other forks, and it is the one I mostly use with my clients. But I by no means think it is the only valuable frequency out there. @EasyVRider Honestly, I've never done it. But some of my students have taken weights from one fork and put them on another, so I suppose they are easily interchangeable. Thank you! Great Video. But I have a question, I have a weighted tuning fork, if I remove the weight does the frequency change? or just the effect??? I mean, in your video I understood that the main difference is that the weights reduce the sound but helps feel the frequency more profound ... so if I have a tuning fork that allows me to remove the weights the only difference will be that?
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@victordefreitas To be honest, I have my weighted forks and my unweighted forks. I have never taken the weights off, so I keep the forks divided according to their specific purposes. I do have students who take the weights from one fork, and place them on another, and they've been doing that successfully. Will removing the forks affect the tuning? I suppose it's possible. Metal is sensitive to change, but I don't think it will be a dramatic enough effect to render to fork unusable. If you are on a budget and don't want to buy any more forks, I would say it's worth a try. Sorry to not have a better answer for you. Sometimes personal experimentation is the best way. If you try it, please stop by again and let me know how it goes! Thanks so much for supporting the channel. I really appreciate that.

I am brand new to tuning forks and am looking for a chakra tuning fork set. When looking on Amazon I notice comments in the reviews that say that the hz frequencies of the weighted forks are incorrect, but now I’m wondering if the frequencies for weighted and unweighted are different. Can you please clarify for me and let me know if you sell a set of chakra tuning forks or if you can recommend a reputable brand. Thank you!
@BELightTT6 ай бұрын
Hi @tanyapaty Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate that. Tanya, tuning forks seem to have exploded in popularity. There are a ton of companies manufacturing them. It's really not a "weighted vs unweighted" conversation when it comes to frequency. The frequency is more "manufacturer's choice". For starters, companies are choosing frequencies based on different tuning scales. For example, some forks come from A=432Hz tuning, some from A=440Hz tuning, some from A=444Hz tuning, and so on. This can make everything very confusing. That's one reason I never purchase random forks. I would say it is always advisable to purchase forks based on the recommendations of your teachers. For me, I purchase my forks from BioSonics, because my teacher created those forks and I trust the integrity of his company. If interested, you can find my affiliate links in the comment pinned to the top of this page. I will copy them here for you as well, if interested: AFFILIATE LINKS: 1. OTTO 128Hz Tuning Fork from BioSonics (affiliate link): biosonics.com/product/otto-tuner-128-weighted/ref/527/ 2. Crystal Gem Foot attachment from BioSonics (affiliate link): biosonics.com/product/clear-quartz-gem-foot-attachment-2/ref/527/ In terms of "chakra tuning", that's honestly not my area of interest or expertise. I find it a little "gimmicky". I don't mean that to be offensive, it just doesn't really resonate with me. But if you have heard great things, then you should absolutely look into if further for yourself. I will give you one piece of advice when starting out, which you can take or throw away. I usually recommend that people begin with only 1 or 2 forks. Use them for a while. See if you like them. Note their benefits. And then, if you find you want to explore further, make another investment. Too often, I see new students get over eager, purchase 20 forks from the get go, get overwhelmed, and never do anything with them. Even when I still had my private therapeutic practice, I never really used more than 3-4 forks. You'll find that you develop preferences and favorites, and suddenly, you're just using one fork for everything! LOL😂Not all teachers will agree with me, that's for sure. But that's why I devoted all my tuning fork videos on this channel to exclusively using the OTTO 128. I wanted to give people a very simple, introductory approach to sound healing, so that they can feel comfortable beginning, without getting overwhelmed. I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out with more questions. I hope you have a great day and thank you again for supporting the channel.

Hi thank you so much for this amazing video. I am a licensed practitioner and I would like to purchase tuning forks for kidney health a family members of mine has kidney disease and I want to help ease with adding tuning forks to my sound therapy treatments. I keep only finding unweighted kidney turning forks, do you know of any weighted ones that would also help in that regard? Thank you so much ❤
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
Hi @Awaken with Jess Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I am sorry to hear about your family member. They are lucky to have you to treat them with such loving care. So honestly, Jess, I really only purchase my forks through BioSonics. I haven't explored many other companies because BioSonics is owned by one of my teachers, and I trust the integrity of his products whole-heartedly. Which frequencies are you considering for kidney issues? You can take a look at the BioSonics website, and see if they have anything available. My other suggestion is that if you have a weighted tuning fork at home, it is possible to remove the weights with a small sort of allen wrench. I have had many students who have taken their weights from one fork and placed them on another with success. I hope this helps to give you some ideas. I will also say that if the tuning fork you want to use is too high of a frequency, adding the weights will probably not be so effective. The weights work better with lower frequencies...but I assume you're headed that direction anyway for the kidneys. Please let me know if I can assist further and, actually, I'd love to hear what you decide to do. Keep me posted! Have a great day.

What happens when you listen to both tones at the same time? I know you are not supposed to listen to 2 specific tones at the same time. (Don't remember which 2 tones are bad together)

Hi @user-nc3cz7tg3d I wish I had a better answer for you. I'm not familiar with any specific tones that are not "supposed to be" played together or what the potential negative harm would be. Thank you for watching and commenting. I really appreciate that. Have a great day!

Hi, Can I use the unweighted forks over the body of someone with cancer in stage 3? Also the 128 with crystal foot on the area of pain they are going through?
@BELightTT7 ай бұрын
@lindaglasby8590 As far as I'm concerned, yes. I do not consider cancer a contraindication for the forks. However, it's always best to get your friend's permission, and if he/she experiences any negative side effect, simply discontinue the treatment. I actually work closely with a cancer treatment center in Rhode Island, and one of the husbands does a fundraiser every December to create these beautiful holistic gift baskets for the women going through treatment. He includes tuning forks for them for their personal self-care. I think it can be a nice tool for relaxing the nervous system and bringing some comfort. I hope your friend will have a good experience from it.

which is used for weber test and rinne test? weighted or unweighted? thanks!
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@NABI I am not familiar with those two tests, as they are not really within my scope of practice. I do not do hearing tests with my clients. I would imagine you would used unweighted forks for that purpose, but best to ask a professional audiologist. Thanks for the question. I hope you find your answer. Have a great day.

Can you apply unweighted tuning forks like the 174hz to the body, or wave it around? Thanks.
@BELightTTАй бұрын
Hi @WilliamHolden-t5g Unweighted forks are not designed to be used ON the body. You won't feel anything. They do not vibrate through the stem. Unweighted forks are designed to produce audible sound, so yes, you can use them AROUND the body. But direct contact will not result in much. Hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching!

Any suggestions on activating the thymus with tuning forks, I read that the TF should be 352 hz, however I am new to this and would really appreciate you thoughts
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@Julie Hot Spots LLC that's a really great question. I do not have enough clinical experience working with thymus issues, quite honestly, Julie, to give you a truly informed answer. For myself and my practice, I default so often to my OTTO 128, just because it is such a great "all-purpose" fork. Because of its ability to release nitric oxide, it definitely offers that immune benefit. If you already own an OTTO 128, I would definitely get started with that as you continue investigating. But if you are looking to purchase your first fork for that express purpose, then you may have to research a little further. Sorry I can't offer a better answer, Julie. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Good luck with your search. I'd actually be interested in hearing what you decide and what type of results you get! 😃Feel free to stop back here and share, any time. I'd love to hear from you. Have a great day!

You hit aluminium against aluminium on non weighted then hit the weighted fork against a plastic or wooden ball......obviously there won't be a any sound 😂😂😂😂
@BELightTT8 ай бұрын
@0x420.x I'm not sure your point. If you strike two weighted forks together, they'll make a sound (yes) but it will sound awful and it won't get the prongs vibrating in a way as to be effective. The best way to activate weighted forks is to actually strike the weights themselves on something like rubber that gets the entire fork vibrating for use on the body. In terms of unweighted forks, striking them against one another is simply one way of using them, and yes, of course, they make a vibrant sound because of that. But they are supposed to make a vibrant sound. That's how you use them. I can just as easily strike an unweighted fork on a piece of rubber, and it will still ring out audibly, because that's what unweighted forks do. Unweighted forks are more audible for sound purposes. Weighted forks are more vibratory for touch purposes. Thanks for watching.

I totally understand what the viewer meant. I would have loved to hear the weighted tuning fork hit with the same thing just to show a clear comparison. But I now understand the difference and thats what I was looking for

@@yoursurgerysister Sure thing!
@BELightTT8 ай бұрын
@@yoursurgerysister Yes, I can see what you mean. It's just such a foreign idea to me to hit 2 weighted forks against each other as I already know how completely ineffective that is. It strikes me as a strange thing to do. But I can see how if you are only being exposed to forks for the first time, a direct comparison would have been helpful. Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it.

A rubber ball? Of course it won’t have audio quality!
@BELightTT Жыл бұрын
@r2ma871 Any type of rubber works perfectly, actually, for getting a beautiful auditory quality out of an unweighted tuning fork. Weighted tuning forks, on the other hand, are by design not meant to produce a loud sound. Their purpose is more vibratory in nature, with a much quieter natural sound. But that has nothing to do with the rubber being struck; it has everything to do with the weights on the prongs. Thanks for watching!

You don’t have to be licensed to offer these sessions. Show me where this law is 🤦🏻♀️
@BELightTT10 ай бұрын
@spiritualjunky2175 Hi, there. I'm not sure what you're referring to. You mean to offer tuning fork sessions? You're completely correct. As far as I know there is no licensing board for sound therapists or sound practitioners. There's certainly a million certifications available, but no regulating body. So that's right. You don't need to be licensed to offer these types of sessions. Not sure where the confusion is. Thanks for watching.
