Hey I just wanna let you guys know these reaction videos are legitimately what introduced me to the sport of weightlifting. I started watching more and more weightlifting on my own (you guys should do either the 2013 WWC for 85 kg 2011 WWC for 2011) and decided to take my training more seriously. I’m going to compete in just under two months and I just wanted you two to know I think you’re doing the sport such a service with these videos.

38:22 The three stripes swooping into one is Do-Win, which was and still is the standard Chinese weightlifting shoe. And was for most amateurs around the world buying shoes online up til about a decade ago before all the major brands got more choice and better prices and availability.

Great video! :) Lads would you mind creating a playlist for the 'S&C Coaches React' videos? I enjoy putting them on while I work ^.^ Also random question for the next livestream.... A lot of people at my gym love to use the stepper/stair climber for cardio, some people spend 30+ minutes on them. I was just wondering whether the troll-like stance people adopt about 5 mins in is going to cause any permanent damage. It hurts my spine just looking at it...

Kai Greene is legit 5'7" not 5'3"... His width just probably makes him look shorter. He is billed as 5'8" but from people that know and would have no reason to lie (really don't like him) they have said he's 5'7".

Why weightlifting comps are filmed so badly? Million different angles mostly from their faces and shoes, but you never see the entire lift. I want to see their bodies while they are doing jerks, not steroid pimples on their forehead.

you can tell how programs used to look before the 2010s. a few outliers given, these guys are all totally jacked. I daresay they trained for more than the lifts and the pulls. these fellows likely did waaaaaay more accessories than what we might see today. just an opinion, but its the same with powerlifters nowadays. jonnie candito has fucking cigarettes legs and he pulls 285kg. 😂 compare him to lamar gant or mike bridges.
