I know very little about weightlifting, I don't train it, or watch it. But I follow WLH and love every video since back when you guys only had 30k subscribers and I am so happy you've gotten this far! Keep up the good work and keep getting the sport out there

how do you know so little or not "watch it" when you've been watching for years lol if you watch these videos, you know more about the scene than even the athletes themselves

You don't watch it but you've been watching it since 30k subs. Okay then 😂😂😂😂
@crazycjk Жыл бұрын
Why the doubt in the replies? I'd put myself in the same category as Majinbro. I train powerlifting, I have the mobility to CnJ and Snatch but I don't enjoy it as much. I watch most WH videos and been subbed since probably also about 30K. I have never watched weightlifting aside from the Olympics, and I have no idea who the lifters are other than the very top few. Not everyone here is/considers themselves an avid weightlifting fan, and that's okay. Big fan of WH and Seb though.

@@crazycjk so you just watch the videos and dont retain anything? just 10 min and then your brain refreshes? Watching these videos for years should give you a good sense of what weightlifting is as a sport. or is this your alt account lol

@@nicholastartaglia4276 to a degree, yes. For example, the video today - I absolutely love the athleticism of the lifts, especially watching the slo-mos. I won't remember Liu's name in a couple of months unless he's in some more videos in the meantime. I fail to see why this is a problem - I watch for much more for the admiration and enjoyment of the movements, than the sport itself

In the 1997 WWC, there was one Chinese lifter (Cui Wenhua) who won the gold medal in the men's 108kg class. So yeah, the Gigachad is not quite the heaviest, but I'm sure he is the second heaviest Chinese lifter to become a world champion. If he does get selected to compete in Paris next year as a 102kg lifter, he can make history by becoming the heaviest Chinese Olympic champion.
