Weinberg CS vs McCormick CS at Northwestern University

Do you see students switching between the two CS programs- Weinberg and McCormick? Also McCormick CS- would it be harder to also get a dual degree major with school of communications? Are the non-major engineering/math reqs really intense in McCormick?

1. I’ve seen some students switch between the two CS programs. 2. For a dual degree with school of communications, McCormick CS might have less overlap in non major requirements but it also depends on your AP credits. 3. The McCormick non major engineering/math requirements are known to be difficult but so are the math requirements in Weinberg. In McCormick you need to take more engineering classes than Weinberg.
