It still very much applies in modern times as much as it did 50 years ago. I'd argue even more so, because the conspiracy theories have gotten far more wacky. I'm not naive to the point that conspiracies have happened many times and have continued to happen. But the vast majority of the ones that gain massive followings are bullshit and those are the ones people make fun of.

PS one quick tip I know it sounds weird but if you has place or flat bowls that you use or even what they call pasta dishes they're kind of flat bowls that are almost plates that are just really shallow. There is something that you can use other than Saran Wrap foil on those you can buy the special little things that have elastic on them that cost a lot of money to put on to keep them fresh or you can go ahead and buy a cheap shower cap and just use those and rinse them off or wash them out as needed and it worked trust me it's funny it's where but it works!

Using plastic wrap foil Tupperware or any kind of containers of any kind would all depend on what type of food or substance that you're trying to keep fresh. And not only fresh but also what you're trying to keep inside because you can use it you can use the foil for keeping the dry rub on your steaks or even when you're marinating something you can put the foil on top of the bowl when you put it in the fridge if you don't have Saran Wrap or whatever. I have all the accouterments that go with having leftovers or storage for food as well so I totally feel you!!!
