I started blender as a hobby to make art, now ended up working in game development and completely forgot how fun blender can be when you don't restrain yourself with topology rules. You keep reminding me why I started blender in the first place. Your videos are a great inspiration and a reminder to not stop experimenting. WEIRD SH!T episodes is what kept me into blender lately. I cannot thank you enough, but thank you!

Great work, as usual! Have you tried Tissue addon yet? I would love to see what you can do with it.

I have, but I found it to be a bit finnicky to work with. It can do some cool stuff though! :)

Are those small emitters random places by nodes orso? that the cool part i think... Many thanks for showing this :)
@MidgeSinnaeve7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's done with the random option in the object info node. Just mixing in an emission shader on a few of them. You can find the files in the description if you want to take a look. :)
@RomboutVersluijs7 жыл бұрын
yeah i just noticed them, nice! To bad my mac hardly can handle this render. Dont have gpu :(
@RomboutVersluijs7 жыл бұрын
PS when it renders, it only renders the small emitting parts is that correct?
@RomboutVersluijs7 жыл бұрын

you didnt show how you animated the displace modifier
@MidgeSinnaeve6 жыл бұрын
The animation is created by using the empty in the Displace modifier. The position of the empty affects the displacement, creating the animation.
