@@UnderTheMoon3 that's why I said it's a theory, I'm psychology student and some of my friends had autism with similar symptoms, due to the spectrum being so big and wide everyone has some "unique" type of it, no autistic person is the same, but alot of them share similar symptoms depending on the severity and if some training was done. The mentioned person in the video reminds me alot of a friend I used to have and alot of my autistic friends do showcase similar behaviours if it comes to texting; Due to some having a difficulty to comprehend and form sentence in their head before writting them down on paper, some of their sentencing turn out to be really cryptic and lost in translation. It's like Adhd (which btw kinda resemble some parallels and got the scientific community into some heated discussion over the last decade if they are both actually in the same spectrum due to have estranged brain-structures different brain working activities/metabolism compared to a "normal person" and similar symptoms ofc) people like me have a hard time to structure perfect sentences in there head, sometimes losing the red string they tried to follow in the conversation and so sometimes those sentences seem like a lose leave in the wind, a complete cryptic mess that only the writer does understand. Also they seemed to misunderstand alot of phrases or figure of speechs/metaphors like where they said the time. That's also a typical symptomatic, due to some who suffer from the more severe side of the spectrum they do have a hardtime to understand the concept of sarcasm, expressions, ironie, jokes and sometimes lack the ability for emphaty or better said lack the ability to be sensitive. Some do have a hardtime to see outside of their bubble, like how their action would affect the other person or how they feel or perceive the situation. They can be really selfcentered and demanding, only seeing their needs and seemingly ignoring the ones of others (which sometimes feels rude but they genuinely can't tell nor notice) that's where the famous "autistic tantrum" comes from, they have a plan in there head that has to succed something that needs to be right in there system and if it doesn't work their world falls apart. Tho we didn't see an tantrum from that person in the video but we did see some of the other behavioural issues i mentioned earlier, so it just made more sense for me that they might have autism instead of being a child due to em being able to have some certain consciousness and being interested in nsfw, (dont get me wrong some teens are but...not children) people tend to think really often that an autistic person on the internet might be a child due to their social abilities, way of talking and "weird" behaviour. Not every autist is like this, I got friends who can't write in third person and thats all and I got one that only struggled with certain metaphores and one that reminds me heavily of the person in the video. She was similarly demanding and only focused on her needs while not understanding that I might feel dissapointed (we did a roleplay and she kinda left me out and the situation resembled a bit like the one in the video). Depending on severity autism can be trained to help to improve some social skills but writing is a huge problem for alot of em.

Your response to her was hilarious, she was super weird so a logical approach probably wouldn't have worked lol I had multiple weird experiences with art trades too. I don't even know where to start. But because of those I longer accept AT from people I don't know, especially if they don't even follow me. My very first AT when I was a complete beginner drawing with a mouse, was a very bad introduction to art trades to me. The character I had to draw was a gacha oc that... had equipped an item from pretty much every category possible and like i said, i was a beginner so i was unable to draw them all. Therefore i left out some such as top hat and wings + cape (how tf do yoi fly with a cape and wings) And my at partner was not happy about which now i understand why, but my god, their reaction. They started yelling at me (caps lock typing) and swear. I have to mention that despire me not including those very extra accessories, i did finish my art. They never even send me a sketch.

storytime :) so i got a dm one morning asking "hi! are you open to art trades? love your work!" so i message back saying "hello. yes, i am currently open to art trades. thank you!" and so me and the person keep talking and discussing the art trade. she was legit too, sent me art in a consistent style that i saw in her gallery, was very professional, etc. so i finish my piece in about a week, and so dm her saying "hey, im finished!" and so that happened, blah blah blah. i wait for a MONTH. nothing. i dm her going "hi there. it's been a month and ive gotten no art and no messages, are you alright?" no response. another month and a half goes by and i message her again. "hi. please do your half soon or im going to block you." no response. about a week later i get a dm from her. its an image of her character STABBING my character with the caption "this is for being rude" 💀👍

This reminds me of when I did an art trade waaaaay back in the day. I think I was around your age actually. My experience was that they just continued to ask me for more and more art for my side of the trade. In a matter of two days, they had asked me for eight pieces as part of my end of the trade while they gave me one piece. It got overwhelming so I ended up blocking them. Art trades can be a bit of a mixed bag, sometimes you'll get some gold but it's very hit or miss. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. :(

I once did an art trade with someone who requested a drawing of their oc, but I didnt really have any drawings of my ocs so i instead told them a fictional character to draw. they eventually said the first character was too hard to draw (it was a squirrel, so understandable) and asked for another one, so I told them about a human character, and they agreed to draw that one. eventually I finished my part and sent it to them, but they never sent me theirs. they didnt say anything about it either. I had done an art trade with the same person before, where we both did our parts and sent them to each other. they didnt answer when I asked if they could post their part, but maybe people dont usually post art trades idk

When I was 14 I decided to open up art trades, most people I dealt with were really nice and actually put as much effort as I did for them, but there was this one person who gave me their reference and I gave them mine. Long story short they kept adding details to my character that didn't belong like hair (my character was a Skelton) and it seemed like they were using some type of OC making app to do their side of the trade instead of actually drawing for me. I was too shy and anxious at that age to even question them so I just accepted it and put alot of effort into my side. Lots of regret.

Okay the “2 layer” thing is common in nsfw art, one with the character naked/nsfw and then add another layer with clothes on so one drawing with two different versions, a sfw and a nsfw version. So I don’t think she was asking for two complete drawings . But that’s still extremely inappropriate for her to ask. Especially when she won’t do it herself? Maybe she thinks she’s getting back at you in someway by changing her rules? Just truly weird

I was gonna doing an entire fullbody digital art piece (by their request) but instead just sent the sketch I had made. I didn’t message them after it and found out that they seem to steal art. I've got an old art trade story, I was in some youtuber's discord server and they decided to host an art trade and I was like, sure why not. Most of the people in the server were just goons that liked pokemon and nintendo stuff, how hard could doing art for them be? The art trade was decided by essentially like a raffle, you would send what you wanted in like a google survey and after some time you'd be randomly assigned someone and then you'd do the whole art trade thing. Most of the requests were like "draw squirtle on a gaming chair", "draw a mimikyu ditto" (that one would be pretty tough actually) and I just so happened to get the one weird guy that was asking for something else. I think I asked for Justice from helltaker giving a thumbs up towards the camera or something, and what this goon asked for was Weiss Schnee from RWBY with splatoon hair, and in the text where it said what he wanted he put "don't ask why". I naturally proceeded to do what anybody else would do and asked why immediately. I got a whole lore dump from an rp that fella had about characters being bonded to the RWBY weapons there was like rebirthing going on and I felt like I was consuming the entire lore of kingdom hearts again. Whatever I asked for the backstory anyway I guess I brought that upon myself, anyway I ask the dude to see some of his art and he sends me something which I found genuinely impressive, so impressive that I showed my sister. My sister took one look at it and went "hey you know those mobile games where you just color in already finished drawings? That's from one of those." At that point I realized that I most likely wasn't gonna get anything out of this trade but I didn't wanna get a bad reputation with everyone else in the server so I still went through with it. The guy sends me an image of what he's done so far and I'm almost certain he just traced over one of the original Justice sprites, at that point I definitely knew that this was gonna be a lost cause. And lo and behold I sent the guy my part, he doesn't send me anything back and stops replying to me. Overall the most fair art trade ever held on discord, would totally do it again.

i actually have a funny story: so around 2 years ago, i got a random dm from somebody i didnt know who was asking me to join a map. I was assuming it was a younger kid because usually you like wouldn't dm people that type of thing, but whatever. I assumed itd be a warrior cats map because i had only every posted warrior cats maps on my youtube, but it was... a birthday map? Like it was for her birthday. I use to do some art trades with close people/mostly friends, one of the reason why I stopped was because this one time one of my friends had introduced me into someone else who also liked to draw. We talked a drew together and there art was great they had there own style and I had my own (it was like a anime 90ish lucky star artstyle). One day they said “we should do a art trade!” I agree and we talked about it for a little, the oc I sent them was a 15 female with a (I think it’s called this) steampunk Lolita like outfit, you could tell by her body portions she wasn’t an adult. They sent me there oc which was a witch like character, simple we both started with the art and we gave a week to finish the actual art. Two days later they asked about my progress and I showed them my sketches and few designs with a simple small change in a few outfits, then I asked if I can see there sketch and they said “I would but I have to ask if it’s ok to change a few features on the characters” I thought they meant like change the outfit or hairstyle so I said yes, the next day they sent me a image of there sketch and I was certainly surprised, they had drew my oc in a few poses which were really revealing of her in what appeared langeray (idk how to spell it) and considering they had a 90 Lucky star style it made the oc look more like a child than a 15 year old, I asked them if they could keep the original outfit and they said “this is my art style this is how I draw so I don’t understand the problem” I just explain that I liked the original outfit more then there choice and wish to keep it like how I kept there oc designs, they said fine and we went back to drawing. The week had past and we were both finished, I showed them what I drew of there oc and when they showed me what they drew I was shocked, they drew them in lewd poses in a bikini but with the same pattern as the original outfit, I didn’t know what to say and they said that they liked drawing ocs like, I asked why she was in lewd poses and they said “it just fits the oc better” I reminded her that she was 15 and they said that it was art so why was it a big deal after that I stopped talking to them and after that I still do art trades with my friends and rarely with anyone I don’t know of. This is something that happened to me and hopefully it dosnt happen to y’all and I really don’t know what I could’ve done to prevent them from drawing my oc in lewd poses but it was in the past.

I actually had a somewhat similar experience to this, though it was related to a writing request rather than an art trade. I can't remember if the user involved started messaging me out of the blue or if they had commented on my fanfic at first, but eventually they did start private messaging me, starting off roleplaying as a couple characters from the fandom we were both in as they talked to me, and then at some point they posted a whole story on their account asking me to write a shipfic between the two characters they were roleplaying previously. I cannot remember what compelled me to say yes, but I did, and I told them I'd need some time to get to it. I think the morning following that, they posted a new chapter to that story asking if they should just write it theirself. I really should have just blocked them then, but I didn't. They kept private messaging me after I finished the fic trying to act like we were friends until I confronted them about their bothersome behavior, then they blew up on me and tried to guilt-trip me. They also insulted a friend of mine who they'd also been pestering, and quickly after that I finally blocked them. I know they were about eleven years old? It had either been on their profile or they straight-up told me. Their style of writing was similar to that of the user you had to deal with, and while it's not conclusive evidence, it's possible that she was lying about her age.

Noooo, omg, I just remembered a kind of similar experience, but instead of an art trade it was for a request. They'd comment on pieces I posted like "have you started my requests yet?" and I draw ponies, and they wanted their pony as a human, I think they wanted at least a half body. They ended up getting a quick headshot of their character because they wouldn't stop asking and I was too anxious to tell people no back then. I just remember it really stressing me out. I've gotten batter at telling people no now at least.

Oh gosh, I hate art trades like this. I often will do a trade with people of lower art styles but everytime they always give me weird vibes. They always will constantly dm me “hey, how’s your day been” every day, even after the art trade has been completed. One of the traders even started to vent to me on how they never get and commisions, my stupid autistic self however had no idea how to handle that as I suck at talking with people I don’t know. I’ve definitely stopped with art trades as it’s always just crosses my boundaries, what ever happened with sending or a ref and drawing the other person oc. I don’t want to make life long friends 😭

Girl I feel so bad for yooouuu 😭😭 I've been through a somewhat similar thing though- Earlier this year I was taking requests to do art of ppls oc's from a discord sever that I'm in. I made sure to make it clear to everyone I was taking requests from to be patience, and that I'll let them know when I would be starting on their drawing. But there was this one person who I took a request from (by now I had a few ppl on the list maybe 4 or 5?) and they would just NOT leave me alone 😭 They'd constantly message me asking if I had started yet and when I'd be finished. I had to *constantly* remind this person that they had to wait in line and just let me do my thing, and I'd let them know when I'm starting on their drawing. I was nice about it though because I thought they were probably just excited cause a lot of ppl on the sever really love my art. Anyway, they left me alone until I finally started drawing their character. I let them know I'd started, and begin sending them unfinished base sketches. They're happy with it and like how things are going, so I just continued with the drawing. This person has the BALLS to dm me at least 30 minutes later, asking if I've 'FINISHED' yet. I tell them no, and it will take me a while cause I'm a slow artist and a perfectionist. Unfortunately they kept bothering me so I just deleted the drawing, blocked the person and didn't take anymore requests for a while after that :[ Glad I can finally sympathise with someone now lol Edit: Spelling and Grammar

This literally sounded like something I went through! But with some differences. They explained specific details of how they wanted their character, full body and everything- went as far as asking me, “which is best for you? Bathing suit, bikini, thong, or lingerie, and with a stripper pole too” like girl wth💀 It felt less like a trade and more like a commission. They ended up drawing their part of the trade before I had a chance to decline the trade- and that took me time to think about because they had 6,000+ followers and I was soo worried I would get in some serious drama. I think I blocked them and took screenshots just incase. I felt bad afterwards because they finished their part and I just didn’t say anything lol They have yet to start anything and so far I haven’t had anyone DM me about it. Sometimes people can be so weird and off putting for art trades. Btw your art is so lovely omg!

I used to love doing art trades, but I joined a group on Deviantart a couple years back that was full of people who were significantly behind my skill level who would always pester me for giftart of their characters so I had the foresight to not ask for art trades in that group, myself, but I always did keep an eye out for other members who opened up trades. Not always people that were particularly skilled, but at least people who I could see were at least going to put in the same amount of effort as me even if the finished products weren't going to result in a radiating masterpiece. Toward the end of this group's lifespan, and right before I vanished off the face of the website, I made a journal talking about how I was thinking about maybe possibly considering doing art trades and low and behold one of the girls I specifically avoided interacting with on account of her high demands yet inability to put any effort into her art jumps onto the comments section to immediately make her request of which character she wanted me to draw and what she wanted her to be doing Naturally I turned it down and said that I had decided against opening arttrades after all. It's been ten years. This chick has not changed. Not in her constant pinning for giftart, her low effort arttrades, nor has she made any significant improvement in her art at all

One time I was doing an art trade on amino (something I stopped doing because it was just, a lot overall) and I get in contact with this person, can't remember how. Their art is all human but has a pretty cute artstlyle. I tell them I only draw animals and they ask me to draw their over the top Roblox character as a bunny or cat. All good so far. I'm down to give it my best shot even if it's a little unconventional. I ask them to draw a character of mine , but as a human. I start working on it and send a picture of my rough sketch. This is November btw. They don't respond, so I don't continue working on it. February. It's February when they out of the blue tell me they're almost done with their part. I don't want to tell them it's off because they have an unwatermarked version of my character ref sheet and I fear they could get spiteful and do something with it. So I finish the piece, and send it with some scriblles on it, stating they get the full version when I get the art. The art is cute but it barely resembles my character, the eyes are the wrong colour and the shoes are an entirely different one. I accepted this and did not add the person to a public list I had of people I art traded with and could vouch that they were good to work with.

I had a commission request a few years ago from a non English speaker, which was fine I just put my messages into google translate before sending. However they wouldn’t answer questions about their character design or the commission they wanted. Just basically said yes, you do art for me. After a ton of back and forth I finally got their email so I could send an invoice. They never paid but messaged me asking about their art I reminded them of the invoice and they would have to pay it first. About 6 months of waiting I just canceled the invoice and blocked them

I'm sorta new to the online art world, I started sharing my art online earlier this year and when I first started I had no idea what an art trade was or anything like that. After a while I've learned what they are and at one point accepted a couple but I wasn't very smart about it and didn't ask to see the other person's art and sorta got cheated. I haven't done an art trade since but watching your videos about them is very informative for me, I might even try to do another art trade again now that I know certain things about it. Just thought I'd say thanks for the tips! ^^

Ok this wasn't an art trade but I'd say it still counts, it was actually something that happened to me in uni on the concept art course I was taking. The class in question was collaborative art, where we had to form groups with other people in the class and together make concept art for a made up game. I remember I was in a teams call with my group until one of the lecturers joined and told us how there were 2 people who had not been made aware that classes had started yet, so they had missed the first 6 weeks of lessons and needed a group. The maximum number per group was 5 and we were currently a group of 3 so we were the obvious choice for these 2 people who had been left out. The first person who joined was cool and she's become one of my best friends and is amazing with designing monsters. And then second person joined and he seemed cool. We decided that it would be best if we posted our personal art in the chat to see each person's strength so we could determine who should work on what. Everyone did this, except the guy. Every time I stopped the conversation to lightly remind him to post his art so we could see it, he would dodge the question or restart the conversation to avoid showing his art. After the call, us original members of the group started another call where we together went to go have a look at this guy's uni profile and what we saw was not good. He had apparently been at the uni for 5 years on several different courses and had not posted any of his work. You could even see comments left by different lecturers on different threads asking him where his work was. So I guess he had failed each course, got kicked out of each one, then would join a new one and fail that as well. I hate to imagine the amount of money this guy must have been wasting. His Instagram wasn't much better, it was like the person you talked about in this video, multiple pieces of art work drawn in completely different artstyles. I think we should have reported our issues to the lecturers but we didn't cause my friends talked me out of it saying we should give him a chance. I don't think we should have. Every week he missed our team meetings and the ones he did show up for he never had any work to show for it. Except one piece. In a meeting when we were talking about designing trolls for our project we jokes how nigel farage look like a troll. This was a joke let me remind you. On the day of hand in when we showed the lecturers what we each did, he pulled out a pencil drawing of a troll with nigel farrage's face on it. I wanted to fucking die right then and there.

I've never had a WEIRD weird art trade experience or anything like that tbh. But one thing I do know is that- sometimes when I'm doing an art trade with some1 they'll use my art as their pfp/icon or banner or etc. But then never message me or do their part which upsets me but eh whatever (great video btw!)

Omg- I know who that person is 😭 I had an art trade with that person around 2 years ago and she had the same request. She did a lot of Art trades with people so I was a bit suspicious but I accepted anyways. She requested me the same exact thing and when she showed me her part it looked exactly like what you got but with brown hair which was the color of my oc. I was dumb and continued to stay in contact with her because we were ‘friends’ she made a group chat with artists that traded with her and she claimed she was 19 but idk- but yeah now I’ve blocked her account since it seemed like she only wants free art anyways :/ But yeah definitely learned from that experience…

I happened to stumble across this video and clicked on it out of curiosity. As soon as the "owo" came onto screen I KNEW that this girl was not 18 or older. Now, of course you can use this kind of emoticons to express yourself at any age. But I can't imagine the frustration you felt of having a younger girl ask for inappropriate requests of a character. But using direct confrontation will most likely lead to her DENYING she made those requests. Ugh, I am so sorry you went through this. Especially her calling you at work??

This happened to me as well but rather than just an inappropriate request, they just never started on their half of the trade.. Ever.. So i declined the trade in a deep frustration as i had spent hours on what they had requested -2 full body characters-

once when i was like 13 or 14 i was asking to do an art trade on someones deviantart journal and they didnt respond for a while which freaked me out so i made another comment being like "ohhh im sorry my art isnt good enough why would you ever want to do a trade with meee" which is kinda shitty but it made them SUPER upset, and to "punish" me they made me do a fullbody while they only gave me a headshot 💀 they were an adult too, i think. like. i get being upset (i would be too, god that puts people in such an awkward position) but just turn down the trade. dont force an unfair trade because a kid dared to be socially inept

oh also i have an irl who has not given me an art trade part from almost 3 years ago, while i did theirs very quickly. its sorta understandable since theyre going through shit but they have been doing artfight, it is a bit frustrating. we have completed an art trade before, too. any time i remind them they initially get super upset and say that im not being considerate or that all i talk about is the art trade (im pretty socially anxious and we do not go to the same school) but eventually warm up again, say they just forgot it, and promise to do it soon...
