Don Garcia The first outlast is children's play. Me and my friend completed it in our early teen years in ONE SITTING. Of course we shaked for the next hour and screamed through the game but yeah! We completed it. Outlast 2 is the real shit. Though tbh I get more disgusted rather than scared while playing the 2nd part. It's the main reason I play it only once a week for at most of an hour. I just need time to reflect on my life choices every time.

Did Mark seriously just flim flam around the prison- ignoring all sounds and dialogue, and then after Lynn was loudly raped above him say, "are they still gunna kill her or something?" There will be no Tiny Box Tim to protect you in this game... but seriously, pay more attention to the sounds of the environment. They give you ample time to avoid enemies! Like so Mark can see!

I'd probably flail around too lmao. If not for the dialogue on the screen I'd not understand anything because it was overwhelming (my mind hurts with all the people speaking and the gross images of the people in the prison), and probably more if you play the game. Outlast does it good with making you think that you're _never_ safe and probably contributed to Mark's panicked flailing. I do agree though. He can help himself more if he does pay more attention. (Although his face _does_ indicate that he gets the gist of the events happening above, with him saying "immaculate Conception" as they walk outside. Probably thought Lynn would die on the get-go since usually that's how other characters die in any game/movie) Reign in that ADD Mark! You're doing a good job in making me have head aches and chills at the same time XD

Im in a Mass Comm program in High School, and we've heard a lot of stories of journalists charging into active terrorist attacks for footage, and ive witnessed students do stupid stuff for footage. One girl in my Mass Comm class decided she liked how the sunrise was looking, but thought the hill our school was on was too low of a shot, so she stood in 15 degree weather in shorts and a light jacket on an ice covered bench, for 30 minutes

Honestly, it's kind of a stupid mechanic. What part of horror game makes anyone think "Let me stare at this stuff and do nothing while a timer ticks down wasting my time?" Part of what was great about Outlast was it got it's pacing right. It kept things moving, even keeping tensions high during times when you could explore because you were never quite sure when something was going to come after you. Whereas Outlast 2 so far has actually encouraged you to stand still and do nothing for extended periods while nothing of consequence happens. I'm trying to keep an open mind, but it's looking like this game is going to be a massive disappointment.

Please note that these are rough translations at best, based on about 2 1/2 years of Latin classes in 5-7th grade. Actually Inferus, a, um represents Hades, what we would call today afterlife, and not just a grave. So I would translate "Ad inferi per aspera" with "Towards Hell (Hell because we're talking about a sort of Christian background), through difficulties (literally aspera would be "rough things, situations"). My latin might be a liiiiiiittle rusty but... "Per aspera ad inferi" means Through hardships to Hell. And "Satanas, Inimical Dei" means Satan is the enemy of (or is harmful to) god. HOWEVER, it should have read "Inimicus" which is the latin, while inimical is the english version of the word.

This might be a fanfic idea, but how about for a story for an “Outlast 3” would be a college student filmmaker who wants to make scary movie or documentary where they go to a rural town where it’s been abandoned due to some “supernatural circumstances” that the student is researching on before making their big movie project.
