Donna Presley is an articulate, beautiful, sweet and down to earth woman . She was born a Presley and will always be a Presley. It is her HERITAGE and her God given right to use the name she came into this world with . If I were ever fortunate enough to have been born and raised a Presley and FORTUNATE enough to have known ELVIS PRESLEY and been related to him, you can bet your last dollar that I would NEVER stop using that name!! I would wear it PROUD!! Thank you Donna for sharing your memories with the world ! Elvis was correct when he said “he was a vessel of God” God gave the world a MIRACLE !!!! What a shame that we didn’t take better care of that MIRACLE because I’m certain we will never be given another chance in any of our lifetimes to see something like Elvis ever again. I cant wait to see you in Heaven Elvis ! I love You!!

Her MOTHER Nashval was born and raised a PRESLEY with her siblings (that include Elvis' father Vernon). Donna's maiden name is NOT Presley - Her mother's maiden name was Presley - Nashval Lorene Presley, was the youngest sister of Vernon Presley, Elvis's father. In America, when a woman gets married and has children they take the last name of the husband. She was born as Donna Kay Pritchett and married Buddy Early, so her name became Donna Early.

@@AL-kh7pz *Genealogy lesson:* Donna's mother is a PRESLEY, which means DONNA is a PRESLEY. I recently used my mother's maiden name for something, double-barreled with my dad's last name (I'd never done that before) because I am BLOOD-RELATED to BOTH FAMILIES. And me getting married and taking on my husband's name wouldn't change that fact.............

Donna's mother was a Presley. Donna is not a DNA Presley. She is a Pritchette. So she is tricking the public using the Presley surname.

Wow what a real treat Stig.Donna is so down to earth.just like Elvis.such beautiful stories.i learnt that Donna only met her Grand dad Jessie the once I never knew that.Elvis loved to have his family around him & took care of them all.Elvis The most amazing man to have walked this earth next to God. When God made Elvis it was his finest masterpiece to date. The story Donna told about Vernon grieving for Elvis when he left us all in 1977 was so heart wrenching.i really felt for Vernon & his unbelievable loss .

Excellent video, thank you! I've never seen her interviewed before. What a charming lady, and It's amazing to think of the memories she has. I wish more people would talk about Vernon and Gladys, but I guess hardly anyone who knew them is still alive. I often wonder about Vernon's life after Elvis died. No one really talks about those two years. I wonder how he lived with so much anguish.

Well other then Billy Smith, Jerry Schilling, June Juanico & Anita Wood (who just passed away in June of 2023) knew both Gladys & Vernon. Priscilla has re-written Gladys to be a drunk because of her Dying from Hepatitis. Her Hepatitis was a by product of her Genetic Disease HER, ELVIS & LISA all had. I think EVERYONE should read " Destined to die young" & DR Forrest Tennants (World renowned Neurologists, was present at all 4 of Elvis Autopsies, was the state hired Medical Expert for Dr Nichopoulos trial VS the Tennessee medical board & The State of Tennessee wrongful death trial. He is the only person who has has Elvis ENTIRE medical files from Birth to death, has written hundreds of medical articles in the New England Medical journal on Elvis, podcasts, blogs all with Dr Nick & was the Medical Expert also hired in Howard Hughes 1970's trial, and STILL practices medicine). Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. Elvis suffered 4 traumatic brain injuries the last being in 1967. He tripped over a television cord in the bathroom and he was unconcious for over 8hrs before he was found! According to his medical records and everyone around him he was never the same. He suffered from massive migraines and developed glaucoma hence the shades you start seeing in 1969. It's what made his eyes water on stage so much. According to his autopsy findings a piece of his brain tissue was jarred loose passing thru his brain barrier. His body began attacking it like a foreign substance and lead to an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder. Then his body began to attack itself. In 1967 they had NO CLUE about Brain Injuries and just how they affect the body. They noted on his medical records at the time that he had 'post concussion syndrome'. By 1970 Elvis was having major problems with his memory , remembering lyrics and names, severe body aches & chronic pain. His joints and limbs, even his lower spine to the point he started using a cane. He wouldn't do Karate as much on stage and he started needing much stronger medications. By 1971 he was seeing 13 specialists trying to diagnose exactly what was causing so many ailments. They had NO MRI's or CT scans, only XRays! He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems (now we know found at all 4 Autopsys), his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. He had Cytochrome disease a defect in his CYP2D6 gene that can convert Coedine into Morphine in the body. Which is why he developed Cushings Disease. He had spinal blocks in 1975 in his spine which caused Cushings. He stopped breathing and was placed into the hospital, his face, and Abdomen were huge and would never fully go down. The press was calling him fat, but he was so sick. Only a handful of people knew what really was going on. Dr Forrest Tennant a world leading Neurologists was given all Elvis medical files and was at all 4 autopsies. He represented Elvis Dr Nick Nichopoulos at his trial in the State of Tennessee & against the Medical Board. He was the specialists in Howard Hughes Medical Trial too. He had written a book on this, numerous blogs, medical journal contributions, and even a podcast. He is still practicing medicine and talks openly about how this lead EXACTLY to Elvis death. People are still repeating the same uneducated guesses that 4 autopsies have disproven and medical science keeps proving were wrong. Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis. Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" he was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even. Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew. The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated. He accidentally took the Codine the dentist's gave him that night due to the volume found in his blood at autopsy. His Genetic condition of Cytochrome Disease of his CYP2D6 defect caused his Coedine to build up in toxic levels to which he was deathly allergic to. He had been hospitalized twice before and had stopped breathing on a previous flight from. It caused his massively enlarged heart that was already failing to stop. His heart was 3 times a natural size weighing 520grams. It was missed in all 3 of his last medical visits. It had given him problems from records stating ATLEAST age 19. Hastened along by an rich Southern diet & an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder poor Elvis didn't stand a chance. Science wasn't even to the point where they could have helped him.

I think Elvis kept the Memphis Mafia around him because they were there before the real fame. He felt like they were his best chance at real true friends. The problem was, people change. Not everyone loves you back in return or the same innocent way in return. VERY FEW of them loved Elvis for who he was inside. They stayed for the "overflow" as Elvis once put it. Most were Ugly, Fat or Otherwise Nerds. The best they had ever hoped for was the recognition overflow, girl overflow, and money overflow from Elvis. I think Elvis thought them being misfits like he once was meant they felt like he once did & he wouldn't be threatened by them. That was fartherest from the truth. I think of all of them Charlie Hodge, Jerry Schilling, George Klein & maybe Joe Esposito were the only true friends he had. 😔

Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven!! Elvis read the Bible, He should have known that. Good works are good, but just that alone is not the way to heaven. Reading a lot about different religion is not the way to get to heaven. Elvis had a lot of faith in God, but he was not living a Christian life. He needed to walk away from that life of sin. He had to repent, turn away from his sins and live a Christian life. When someone becomes a Christian, the old life is no more and the person becomes new person. That's what is called born again. Being a Christian is not a religion but a relationship with Christ. Yes, he was brought up in a Pentecostal Church and sang Gospel music that alone is not enough. He had people in his life leading him in all sort of way that was not leading him to Christ. Elvis helped others yet he could not help himself or let any one else help him! He should have just gotten on his knees and let God help him just like the Gospel song he sang "Help Me" He was at the bottom he should had pleaded with all his might, maybe he would be alive today doing God's work and no more the image but only the man and man for God only! I just hope Elvis had a chance in some point in his life that asked God for forgiveness and renew his faith before his death. Only God knows the heart and only God knows if he's in Heaven.

Enjoyable...Just wish he let her speak more! I would've preferred hearing HER tell the stories, Instead of him telling the stories about Elvis and her just a agreeing. After all she was there! I wish SHE would have spoken more about Dodger her grandmother And told some stories of what she was like. And what all the family were like as people. We don't hear enough about that. And I'd like her to to spoken about what life was like at Graceland.Even what was the regular dinner like there? Bet it was different than we think. So many things that would have been interesting to hear from her,Instead of him just telling stories he heard about Elvis and her agreeing. Are usually enjoy his interviews very much,But this one, was too much talking about what he knows, and way too little asking her questions, and her giving the info about Elvis, and those around him.

We need to hear more about Vernon. In those days, even if you had twins, no one talked about the one that didn't make it. I know why she hovered over him.....Sounds like Elvis inherited his womanizing from previous family members.....he was always needing that mother figure. ....we all that believe in God are vessels for Him; albeit we are still human and have faults. Can't help but wonder what he and his twin would of down in life. He was born second, but survived. He never really got over that....

Aunt Nash was a minister and had a beautiful smile and sparkling eyes, always happy and speaking so highly of Elvis and how generous he was. She told me he donated a piano to her church when they needed one and would never take a penny for it. Nash loved being a preacher and cared genuinely about people.
