She is incorrect to say that Jamison’s Pharmacy isn’t important. It was the first black-owned, family-run pharmacy in Orangeburg. It remains a pillar in the community. And it continues to be operated and run by Jamison legacy.

Apologies if I failed to mention the extended history of some of the locations shown. (Some of which I’m unaware of & other parts were edited) However, being that our hometown is a smaller, lesser known community; the sole purpose of this Vlog was to generally introduce Orangeburg to a broader audience. And in addition, for entertainment purposes. If you’d like to share more of the historical baccground, we’d love to invite you to become apart of future projects. Thanks for watching & commenting! Your support is valued.

I’m an Orangeburg native. I always describe Orangeburg and South Carolina as a whole like this… yes we have our share of problems and we bicker among ourselves, but let something bad happens here we band together and help each other.

I describe Oburg as an ok place, but you wouldnt wanna be broken down there. Mark my words from someone who went there to check it out. It will be discovered. They have a section or 2 they're experimenting with to try to expand its potential although it will take longer. I think the newer stuff there being built though tells me they want to make it like Rock Hill or Greenville but it will take 5 more years or so.

I’m not from orangeburg but I’ve been here 16 years. She forgot to mention Brown derby, Ms. Tooky’s (those $1 dollar breakfasts were so good). And not to mention the restaurant on Whaley st called Home Style in the little white shack/ house that only opens on Wednesdays from 11-2 pm. Located beside orangeburg stockyard. They had the best liver and onions. I love ❤️ orangeburg. It’s home 🏡 for me now

Orangeburg has been well known around SC and the Charlotte, NC area to be hard since the mid 1990's... I'm from Charlotte and know about little Orangeburg, SC... Keep your head on a swivel but damn if they don't have some good food down there!
